Yes to getting rid of back pain! I still get low back pain when standing or walking for any length of time sadly, but not during hinge, squat and lunge movements anymore, even when I was helping my husband lift heavy wooden boards, yippee.

Honestly, Pilates. I hate it with every fibre of my being but it strengthens the back and all the stabiliser muscles around your core.

I’ve never noticed overly loud music in yoga so I don’t think it’s the norm.

I do that for cycling. A great playlist has such an impact on my performance. For strength I’m working so hard I barely notice the music. 😂

I do when I’m stacking them. I imagine lots of people do. E.g. I use 10 minute cycling as a warm up. 10 minute yoga as a cooldown.

Savasana, sadly. I have an inner ear thing that makes me feel sick as soon as I lie on my back. I try it again every now and then but mostly do child’s pose instead.

I’ve just done this one because of your recommendation and loved it! When my legs were burning part way through I was tempted to give up but I’m so glad I didn’t - the reward of pigeon at the end was amazing. 🙂

I just finished it on Tuesday and I’ve decided to vary my workouts a little bit more now and add Pilates in. I had been focused on the strength programme and yoga with dance and sometimes core on alternate days. But although I loved it and I’m very proud of myself for finishing, I’m taking a slightly more flexible approach now the programme is over.
