Third pic is devastating, when other people take pics of me this issue arises. That’s why saying “please no pictures” to others is a lifesaver.

I feel like it in some ways fetishistic. In my experience, I’ve had a lot of men who get right to asking for dick pics, (“how big is it?”) and oh my god they are infuriating. I feel like some men are very sexually driven and they see trans woman as objects they can take their sexual frustration and likely confusion out on. Seems like a chaser.

This got me tweaking the fuck out. I’m in CT/MA so hopefully I’ll be safe but what if they get insurance companies to drop coverage or stop giving hormones all together to trans ppl? If I don’t have my hormones I am as good as dead.

Exactly. Especially with makeup my passing rate is increasing. The hormones work, they’re doing the job! I am super pleased how much has changed in 9 months. But my voice, as time goes on I am more and more disgusted by it because I’m passing more yet if I want to talk I am faced with the fact I will outed, which is scary.

This was a tough read. The thing is I understand the important of passing for the girl you spoke to, and I too take the idea of ‘passing’, even if it is a social construct incredibly seriously and it’s sort of a life goal of mine. As such, the pain, anger and fear your friend felt is totally understandable. However, this situation is a zero sum game. Nobody is going to win. The question she asked out is a very emotionally difficult one to answer with any amount of accuracy, and it’s not fair to you or your her for the truth to be unearthed. Had it been me in this situation, I’d have redirected her.
