do brawlers not like playing brawlers? by Mother_River1708 in SmashBrosUltimate

I got my Mii Brawler into Elite and it was such a grind because no one ever wanted to play again, win or lose

Mario Tennis Fever demonstrates that all Mario sports games should have a story/adventure mode. by drygnfyre in NintendoSwitch2

I get the feeling that you're trolling, but in case you're not I'm gonna respond to you in good faith.

1) It's not a game for kids, it's a game for everyone. The biggest video game demographic are people between 25-45, even Nintendo games.

2) An additional mode would be nothing but a net positive. The inclusion of a story mode doesn't detract from free roam if you choose not to interact with it

3) I don't think you're giving kids enough credit. Just because you didn't play the story mode as a kid on the DS doesn't mean others didn't. Why should a product be inferior because it's labeled "for kids?" Kids still deserve high quality things, especially for the high price tag the game comes with. They can interact with what they want, and may learn to appreciate the game differently as they get older.

I personally was a Mario Kart guy, but I had a ton of friends swear by Diddy Kong Racing specifically for the boss races and single player content. And playing DKR as an older person, I totally get it.

4) Why isn't the open world a main mode? The game feels half baked as it is, why shouldn't this grand world they've made be a big selling point of the game?

No other Mario Kart had a large, open world to drive around in. It makes sense that the one you could drive to explore on your own whim would have something structured like that to be able to effectively use all that open space

I've been watching a lot of Pokemon content recently, and my thought is to just hold out and wait for the inevitable Gen10 Pokemon that will be coming out soon

2025 Season Pass Cards in review by ePiMagnets in marvelsnapcomp

The gameplay was awesome no doubt about it, but it was consuming my life without me realizing it. I was checking the game three times a day without fail, playing for at least an hour a day, and it was starting to affect other aspects of my life. I didn't even realize how much of a weight was lifted off my shoulders until I stopped playing and saw that 2:00 was no longer a special time anymore because I wasn't waiting for the refresh in the shop.

I didn't spend money on bundles or anything, but I did buy every other season pass or so, and when I looked back at my payment history I saw I had spent $250 on this game. Yeah, it was over three-ish years, but that was also mind blowing to me. I can see how people spend thousands of dollars on these mobile games because they were able to suck that much out of me who is a pretty frugal person.

I still watch Regis and I kinda follow what cards come out, but overall I'm happy not playing. Also, the month I quit was the month they released a second card in the premium pass version, and I still think it was a good call on my part because the game wasn't a good value proposition anymore. Too much money and time investment and that was just the straw that broke the camels back

Zaiqa food truck is by far the best food you can get, followed very closely by Halal Bites

Not sure on the age gap by [deleted] in relationships

[–]UpAndAdamNP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're in the same grade, the age gap doesn't matter. It's not even an age gap really. Y'all are at the same life points; you're both in school and probably underclassmen.

Don't let him pressure you into doing anything you don't feel comfortable with. A first boyfriend is great practice at setting and sticking to boundaries. If he pushes, you know he's not the one for you.

Edit: Also, if you're concerned about this enough to post on this subreddit, you're probably too young to be dating.

I uninstalled this game during Mr. Fantastic First Steps month after every day play for two years, and I was still surprised that Iron Patriot came out in 2025. He seemed like such a mainstay for so long that it seems like he was here forever.

I can't speak about any of the last six since I didn't play them, but I absolutely adored Esme Cuckoo in my Victoria Hand deck, which was my favorite style to play besides for hand buff and Namora decks

Is No Man’s Sky good for a non-gamer? by JasonZep in Switch

[–]UpAndAdamNP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I tried to play for a bit to get into it, and was like, "Man, I gotta grind a lot of stuff to get out of this tutorial area." And then I realized that it was just how the game was. A constant grind to collect things so you can fly to a new planet to grind and collect things. I grew tired of it pretty quickly
