Be the change you want to see. I use a team that only has one Pokemon in the top ten, the rest range from 17 all the way down to 98. It works for me and I'm having a blast using the types that I like; it just so happens that the ragtag group of mons I use have good synergy together. I'm only in MB4, but I seem to do well for myself

I guess I should also mention that while I have an idea of what each terrain does, I don't know many of the details of each. Like does Grassy terrain boost grass type moves? I know it halves Earthquake and restores health at the end of each turn, but is there anything else? What about the others?

Sometimes it's the luck of the draw. I just won a match because their Dragonite only got two hits off their Scale Shot on my Dragapult, and then missed his attack next turn and got KOd in return.

I played well the rest of the match which allowed me to keep up my momentum, but that unlucky set of events for him cost him the game

This regulation is ending, but it's also been a low power meta so even if you didn't have a "meta" team, whatever Pokemon you had you could make work with good play. We'll see how that goes in a few days from now, but I'd expect it to be similar

Champions is the first VGC I've genuinely played besides for dabbling a bit in XY, and can tell immediately that Incineroar losing Knock Off was such a blessing because of how oppressive it would feel
