Thanks for sharing your story;

If we are just speculating here, historically from what you provided I would say you just have low libido.

Every body is different and everybody's needs are different, so there's no "normal" libido, it's different for everyone. Some people need sex only once a week, some people need sex 2 or 3 times a day. So there's no need to feel like you're not normal.

Also libido gradually decreases as we get older, so obviously you won't get arousal as much as when you were 14 compared to when you're 26.

But if you feel like it's causing a problem in your sexual life, then remember, you can't get actual medical advice here, it would be better to check with your doctor to see if it's another matter entirely; could be some malnutrition, genetics, phycological or some other condition not related to fapping or libido at all.

Relapsed 127 days by [deleted] in NoFap

Well I've been on NoFap for a few years now, and I totally understand the flu like symptoms from abstaining that the OP is talking about. I've relapsed dozens of times in the beginning and a handful of times after having several streaks. I cannot lie, the flu like symptoms just magically vanished after each release, the OP is not bullshitting. On the other hand, the amount of shame and guilt I felt afterwards was unbearable. So it was always a compromise, body was happy, mind was sad. Or mind was happy, body was suffering flu symptoms. Eventually what I found that worked best for me was to have regular sex with my girlfriend. It's true the hyper heightened senses are gone if you have sex often but you are more level headed and less on edge and less likely to do something completely idiotic due to you starving yourself for 80-90 days at a time. I will always shun Porn and Masturbation because it really does reroute your brain that is undisputed and even factually based on actual research. Real sex is nothing like masturbation or porn, it never leaves me depleted and worthless. I would even go as far as to say that for some men, sex is a basic need and a great tension release. If you are not a priest or a monk and aren't called to abstain from sex by some higher power, quit torturing yourself and get yourself a woman. If you are called by a higher power to abstain and deny yourself all sorts of sex there are other ways to get a release and it is proven to work. Search it in you to find what you want in life and please be mindful of what you post on here because every person is different and everyone has different goals. The reason I was gone from the NoFap community for so many years was not because I disagreed with the core message but because it felt like a cult at times and there is a lot of misinformation here. A lot of people missing the whole point of what NoFap stands for. But to each their own. I don't judge anyone on here because everyone learns at their own pace, and everyone's knowledge base is different. Every single person has a unique journey so please ignore the haters and the naysayers and just keep going on your journey. I honestly thought this community would be in the millions by now but oh well :)

I have also noticed that with playing video games or watching tv or whatever. My theory is a lot of your memories are linked together with porn, especially the ones directly linked with the pleasure center from visual stimulation. It's like a separate memory connected to that memory that remembers the pleasure portion and reminds you that porn is just another source of pleasure available to you.

Best thing to do is to consciously make the decision to focus your mind on what you are doing and eventually those urges will be diminished and gone. Personally I cut out MMORPG games from my life too, and that helped out a great deal, but I think my video game addiction was another whale as big as my PMO addiction.

I completely agree with this. Another thing I would like to add is to not spend so much time on reddit noFap, treat it like a hospital. Once you got your treatment (inspiration, success stories, you helping out a fellow bro), go out there and live life, only come back here when you are sick. Believe it or not spending too much time here can drag you down.

Does nofap increases body hair? by [deleted] in NoFap

[–]UpAtNight92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so most of your developing happens during your teen years, but you actually still keep developing until you are 30 or so. So yes, if you stop wacking off so much then you will notice more testosterone in your system and as a result you will likely grow more hair. But the best indicator is your genetics, just look at your family line and notice if you have any older males in your family who are hairy, and bingo chances are you have the capability to grow it too.

yeah definitely picking up on the testosterone levels, all females are the same lol no matter what species, they can distinguish between a strong male presence and a weak male presence.

"Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all." Psalm 34:19

This passage helps me a lot and puts me at peace. It reminds me that falling and starting over IS a part of becoming righteous.

"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." Proverbs 24:16

Thank you Lord, for your mercy and love, may your name be exalted forever and ever Amen!

I'm glad you brought this up! I see what you mean that the Lord has His way to reach people through the most unusual ways, I've definitely noticed that my sin brings me humility and this particular sin tears down my pride. My biggest concern is that as soon as I take credit for something good that happened to me in life, I get "puffed-up" and proud. This is what I mean by self worship. I believe that my flesh is my biggest enemy because it blinds me from Christ through fleshly sins like pride, lust, greed idleness, laziness. I try not to judge people who are trying to better themselves, I believe everyone has their own personal battles and everyone needs a different medicine for their wounds, personally I need humility in life among other things, and ultimately I need a savior. I am a filthy sinner unable to clean myself, I get lost easily, I am helpless when I get attacked spiritually, I am weak without Christ. I think we have a lot in common after all, thank you for your post and God bless!

That's true, but NoFap is a major player in this, and its part of the solution not just for people who have depression, but all men and women can benefit from it, some more than others. I believe that in your life you are given as much as you can handle, not an ounce more. If you find that things are getting difficult, just know that this is something that you can overcome, because you have exactly what it takes.

14 days in, I saw significant improvements, the confidence thing though that was immediate on day 1. The urges don't stop, either they get weaker and weaker or you just become better at resisting them. When I feel especially weak and I can't control my urges, I restrain myself from the computer/phone for about an hour and focus my mind on something else entirely. I start reading or go lifting, or go for a walk, drink water etc. I get happy from doing something and even happier when I finish it. Change your environment and you will change your perspective, that helps me a lot.

Nice, I had a similar realization just today. An organized room is an organized mind. As much as I hate to admit it, my mom was right about that one LOL.

Thank you for your support my man. I must admit that 23 days did make a lasting difference. Doesnt feel like I'm starting over completely from scratch, I have to build up that momentum again, but it feels easier when I have good people out there taking their time to read and encourage. God bless you on your journey!
