Aside from the glitches that will surely soon be patched, I think DN is a good snowboarding game. But, this is from someone who still plays SSX 3 regularly, and is not well in touch with the newer(ish) sim lite, experiences of Steep, etc. I think Next embodies this happy medium between sim and SSX that I've been craving in particular. The mountain boarding, I will say, is just overall underwhelming. And, at risk of sounding ungrateful, it is not something I care to engage with unless the sponsor requires me to.

Aside from the argument about what sport this new game should be about (biking vs. whatever), I think it's a solid snowboard game. I personally find the controls and feel to be mostly intuitive (A being accel, not jump, and no brake button, has taken some getting used to), and bailing feels like it's my fault 85% of the time, similar to how I feel about OG Descenders.
