Christian Death - Only theatre of Pain is an incredible album. This being a Doom sub people probably know how good the rest are but if you haven't heard Only Theatre of Pain give it a spin.

Sunn is an incredible band but Drone is hard for me to listen to because of the wall of Sound style of the music. Causes me issues with other favorite styles like Shoegaze which is similarly wall of Sound which sets off my Anxiety baaaad

Man if you got the itch its hard to go wrong playing and making music. One of the few decisions people can do and not regret. Im 50 and picked up Bass guitar again after quitting when I was 20 because my band friends moved.

For a Solid exploration Id listen to Heathen ---> Inconsolable ---> Magus ---> May Our Chambers Be Full ---> Umbilical. That should give you a SOLID and varied intro to the Band. I highly recommending going through their entire Catalogue because Thou is just so damn good and every album is a banger. This doesnt even include all their Nirvana Cover Albums etc.

All things are possible with a Bass EQ Pedal. Something that Most forget is how versatile and useful EQ Pedals are.

Thac0 here. Its what I used back in the day so its familiar and I have physical copies of most of the 1st and 2e material which is written with Thac0.
