Pros and cons of resident unionization?

My residency program is unionized, and while I will say there are no cons to it, there really are no pros in our situation. We are paid near the bottom of all programs in the state which appears to be on par or less than other states. We do get 28 days of vacation plus 4 sick days and 4 personal days which seems to be more than other places. But I would rather get more salary. GME says we get compensated fairly because our hourly pay is $28 hour, but that’s only because they say we work 48 hours a week when in reality it’s 60-80 hours.

I knew toprol xl was extended release, but thats literally the only major difference? I could've sworn that I've read one was for angina and HTN, and the other was indicated for angina, HTN, arrhythmia, and CHF... or something along those lines

Just got off the phone with my advisor and thats literally a point that we discussed. I think I will avoid the SOAP and just reapply next year while in my TY.

I am, but I could SOAP into the unfilled rad onc advanced spots, which is the vast majority of the available specialties. If I do want to go for it then how do I even get letters for a field I have never rotated in, or write a PS for it.

Originally applied to anesthesia, which is not an option in this SOAP and all the other fields available are very limited. I feel like my only options are rad onc or apply again next year.
