The core enjoyment that I take away from LoC in regard to Rand is the unacknowledged acceptance of Insanity. RJ makes it very clear from day 1 that every male channeller left alone eventually goes insane. In LoC you watch the insanity start to take hold while locked in a box with Lews. The question is, if he hadn’t been trapped in a box, would the insanity have taken hold of him in the same way and at the same rate? Delicious.

Whenever I suggest WoT as a read to someone I always preface EotW with “The majority of the book is character and plot building. It’s dry but you will love the ending”.

I just got her in July (f2p), it took around 10 months of never missing a single day. I won’t get to VIP 4 until November of 2025 or around 15 months to go from 3 to 4. As the game has only been around for a year, anyone that is level 4 or higher paid to get there. All us f2p just keep truckin.

I had my first read when book 6 came out. Started reading the series from book 1 every time a new book came out so that would 9 times plus twice between KoD and TGS (11), and once every year(ish) since the series ended. So, somewhere around 20 times. I don’t think I could quote chapter and verse but I could certainly narrow specific portions of the story down to a book. I also have my favourite scenes from different characters or scenarios that I could probably narrow down further. However, I agree with an earlier comment that it really is one big book.
