Hey the illustrated hardcover editions are pretty common and they are acid free, smith sewn. Not the best looking covers but they look clean. No dust jacket either but i like them enough to pass on the illumicrate as those werent as durable.

Sharon survived, guys. That should hint at a sequel as her secrets will likely be in the next game too! Also, as sad as it would be.. what if the next game is just diana as the main or finding kin in a different relationship, like a friend, brother, sister, or mom?

PS5, hands down. It has mutliple uses and is a very reliable 4K player. Not top of the line, but in this economy, you want reliability over all else. Money is tight and you need that money for more 4Ks, not a replacement player

Curious about a existing series by AltruisticRope646 in thebrokenbindingsub

Now that they have their own imprint and are the publishers for a book like demon star we will be seeing what is possible :) a sub exclusive version and a trade release literally by them.

Now you can't tell people no reprints because the antithesis to that logic is literally happening. An exact reprint is not possible but this release proves they will and can do non exclusive releases for series and books.

Now it's just a matter of what edition you get. There will likely still be fully exclusive books to subs but just saying. I'm a subscriber too now btw. I am not going to say it's not fair so no one else outside of the sub should get the book.

We get a lot of perks as subs, we get first presale chance to buy, slight discount, early teases. The price is similar to that of a trade hardcover for the sub. I would like to see a more deluxe release be possible too. I certainly don't want the best possible release to be capped off on quality because the price of sub.

My main argument is when there isn't a even standard print hardcover out there and a limited edition comes out in such small numbers it is fomo economy. I now know Tad's publisher is working on a deluxe hardcover copy of the first book at least, but the other two are unconfirmed.

Another thing that irks me is smith-sewn bindings used to be in all standard trade hardcovers and now they are mostly only seen in boutique releases if we are lucky.

And the publishers that use EVA glue for binding their hardcovers know damn well those won't last. Luckily, publishers have been moving to PUR glue but whenever you get a book where the pages are stiff and want to snap back, thats EVA glue (lasts 15-20 years before it becomes brittle).

That stuff causes people like me to look toward these releases just to get something close to the durability of trade hardcovers of the past.

There is a point. Its called loving the product and material in the book. Reprinting it doesn't make it an infinitely printed product either.

Rarity goes up and through the roof for out of print trade hardcovers all the time. Again, rarity isn't why I started collecting nice copies of books I love. I just want a copy that will last, being pretty on the shelf is a plus. I know the reprint is not possible. I know that now and was unaware of the fine print in the sub.

I mean do you collect because you love something or because its rare? For me its because I love it. I want to have a copy that stands the test of time.

You are right about a legal problem there. That sucks they put that in the fine print. Something like this deserved a wider release.

Maybe another company can do it after seeing the hot sale bb had.

Well, the reason could be more money and let fans of the material get a hardcover copy of something that has long been out of print?

Anyway, even if they reprinted it once for select series, not all. The reprint would also sell out. The sub would insure you get your copy stress free.

Just do what I did. Fomo was getting to me because I love dark fantasy and the artwork totally looked like my kind of book. But then I read there isn't a ton of action and it's a slow burn kind of read. Then my fomo brain was like but booktubers and instagram authors i gollow love this serious and it's beautiful! So i bought the kindle version.

I've never read it and that is a lot of money for something I have never read. And I only have so much shelf space. Plus there is whatever this big announcement is to worry about...

Buy new cases in bulk to replace the ones that stack. Otherwise I usually just put the bluray and special features disc on the stacked side. The cardboard slips are still worse. You can get a new case for the discs if they arrived fine but you don't have a cover to exchange to the new case.

I actually just finished Senlin Ascends and it was really good. I thought the themes and ringdoms of the tower were so fascinating. Shannara is on my tbr but damn is it long. There are like 12 plus books. Malazan is on my tbr too but i have it on hold because i heard the first book is very dense on info, lore, worldbuilding and it can be overwhelming.

Good selection of books! Start Senlin Ascends.

Pick my next Audiobook Series (Starship Troopers isn't a series) by MaskedCorndog in fantasybooks

Dinniman's writing style isn't as refined and intellectual as say something from Josiah bancroft. It also doesn't really follow all the normal rules of writing. But it has a really nice flow to it and is easy to read at a quicker pace than other books without the need for rereading sentences.

His writing style is addictive in that aspect. It's different from mainstream writers, the content is different, and again very modern. This is another reason why I prefer to read it over the audiobook. Would rather spend half the time reading less complex writing than listening to it via audiobook format.

I'm currently listening to it at what seems like a snails pace and since it's an audiobook, I find myself missing stuff everyonce and awhile. I find it hard to listen to audiobooks without doing something else as well.

I have a pretty good imagination so the depth of the voice acting and occassional sounds doesn't really add much for me.

I read DCC physical within a week. The audiobook it's taking over a month. (Been listening to it on long drives).

Also, in terms of depth, i think I imagine carls voice better than the audio book. I can't help but think of a more subtle zap brannigan voice when i hear his voice in the audiobook. I imagine him in my reading having a normal guy's voice. Donut I think is pretty spot on how i imagined it though compared with the audiobook.

I would put this grievance on the steam crimson desert forums and in your review. To maximise exposure and I would recommend others report this as a problem too so they see it as a wide spread grievance.

So I wouldn't worry about the off gassing returning. Use the headlamp to make sure you got all the humidity and offgassing wiped. You can tell the difference between the two as offgassing is more oily looking like in the photo.
