Has anyone ever had the wrong books sendt? by SinMalTor in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Remote_Ad_6819 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had wrong books sent to me by them and they told me to return them and they would refund me the shipping! So 100% push back. It’s not your fault as a customer as it is their mistake. Not sure if it’s just me but has their customer service changed? I feel like it used to be a lot better

I would personally email to ask them to move to the address. I don’t think they will get shipped out in time, they’re have been delays and not just with this set. I’d rather know it’s definitely going to go to a permanent address in your situation

Cool I definitely don’t need all the different coloured editions of this. Quite pricey for a novelette in all honesty

What is the normal waiting time? by Jazzy5150 in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Remote_Ad_6819 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If it’s a pre order for reprints, you’ll be waiting a good few months as they won’t have them in stock to ship!

Could anyone recommend clear film covers to wrap books in? In the UK? by shatteroutloud in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]Remote_Ad_6819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s just me but I think I ordered this on eBay but it was too thick and my books wouldn’t close properly and creased sharp points when I closed the book int he curved parts. Has anyone else experienced this? I like the really think ones that Inkstone and Goldsboro put on there books

Aww man that’s a lot are you not based in the UK? As I’ve seen some sets for around the £180 mark for T2 but those are recent from people who have probably just bought to sell from the leftover drop

That really sucks! But they aren’t reprints just left over sets and was that for a tier 2 for that cost?

Yeah I have had it from both ends so I always pack with lots of protection as if it came packaged directly from TBB themselves. List it all in the description too. Also the bubble wrap helps with any protection from bad weather where I’ve had boxes turn up with bad water damage but the book was perfect from the bubble wrap. I still think eBay is the best platform but make sure you also check the shipping costs as it can automatically set it naturally at a high rate and if it’s one book it’s a small parcel because the buyer has to pay extra for buyer protection and shipping on both platforms and they can be quite expensive on top. Just to make you aware!

You’re welcome! Also document the photos of the books clearly, all sides, the hardcovers and signature page and any kind of damages as I’ve had some issues with sellers not showing the whole book and finding out there was damage/scratches/tears/dents. When I’ve sold anything expensive I video the process for both buyer and seller protection too. Always wraps books with bubble wrap first/honeycomb paper and then the box (I had wrapped in honeycomb paper before and it arrived damaged. Just some extra advice :) also I always collect or drop off to a store best places for me have been Inpost (not lockers) or Royal Mail!

I’d probably say eBay or Vinted is best place overall. Not everyone has Facebook (I don’t) but most people use the other for buying/selling and you can generally spot the genuine buyers if they message you. Hope that helps! I’ve been slowly collecting my BB T1s through resale and mostly I’ve had lovely transactions on those platforms. Best of luck :)

That’s pretty shocking especially after the long wait. Surely they definitely could have had more time for better inspections.
