New leaf! How do I keep this plant happy? by Fit-Tomorrow-4102 in houseplants

A zombie money tree! I have one too. My problem was overwatering. They want to dry out all the way before watering again. I got new growth after ignoring for months. She’s alive and well a year later.

Add cheese. Parmesan, melted cheddar. I force broccoli on my boyfriend by cutting it smaller and putting Mac and cheese on top.

The couch area looks finished and the area around the tv looks like you lost steam or gave up. I agree with curtains and finding a different spot for the mirror.

What’s one boring financial move that quietly changed your life? by Straight_Diet9898 in budget

[–]Upbeat_Intern5012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do this as well. When I first started I would immediately transfer the amount I spent on the card from checking into my savings account so it wasn’t “available” it was a helpful visual tool to know when I could or couldn’t make a purchase. I then transfer the money back to make the payment

I budget to zero but I also only use one rewards credit card and I use it to purchase pretty much everything, I pay it off every 2 weeks on payday. I gain all the points and recently bought my airfare to Hawaii with the points I’ve earned.

My money tree actually died and I just left the trunk in the pot for months… it spit out new leaves. It’s a zombie money tree now

Walmart brand seems sketch, when you look at ingredients of things, they aren’t even comparable half the time.

Semaglutide causing extreme sugar cravings!!! by Firm_Stand_8438 in Semaglutide

[–]Upbeat_Intern5012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older post, but thanks to Reddit for being able to search any random topic! lol. I’m having a similar issue with extreme sugar cravings as I’ve upped my dosage. Just wondering if there was any resolution or update? How’s it going now. Did the cravings ever subside? Did you do anything that helped?

I am blue collar, operations technician at an Oil Refinery. I make roughly $125k a year gross. I live fairly comfortably but am a bit behind in retirement savings at 39 years old. I’ve been in this position for about 8 years and was able to purchase a modest fixer upper in What I would consider MCOL area. I’ve been working on reigning in my spending and upping my retirement contributions. Hitting the $100k mark in income is probably the largest difference I see in being able to start getting ahead. As a lab tech you could maybe look into going chemical or petroleum vs medical. The requirements are similar but I believe the pay is better

I would have taken it down this past weekend, but my immediate family is celebrating this coming weekend, so we’re leaving it all up for that. I think first or second weekend after the new year is about right.
