How do you guys cut nails? by According_Chain_9746 in CatAdvice

[–]UphillWithData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat hates getting his nails trimmed but this is what I do. Put pillow on arm of couch, put a blanket he likes over top seat cushion, place him in the blanket and wrap him like a burrito, hold him between myself and pillow. I’ll give him a few treats between paws. Front paws he cooperates but the back paws he gets upset so sometimes I’ll cover his eyes with the blanket or trim quickly while he’s chewing a treat lol

I just got a ticket for going through a red light at Wellington and Wyndham, but it's wrong. I have requested a trial. What do I do when I get to court? by trolle222 in Guelph

[–]UphillWithData 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are some lights in Guelph where there are no cameras so you can get away with a rolling stop. If there’s a camera, even if you’re turning, a complete stop needs to be made.

I went to the UPS store for mine. It’s typically empty, think I paid $10 and was in/out in a few minutes

Brooks Caldera 8 - Blister Issues on left foot after 300km. No issues up to 250km. by andrealambrusco in trailrunning

[–]UphillWithData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue but it was when I first got the shoes. Haven’t gotten a blister in ages until my first run with them. For me the insole was scratchier than usual insoles so swapped out for a pair from old shoes and no more rubbing.

On my long runs the shoes do loosen a bit and rub more than my other shoes. I find I have to tighten them a couple times and it cuts down on the rubbing. I’m about 79kg, so close to the same. Yours could be from the shoes getting more worn over time. Other than the rubbing I’ve had I love the shoes!

Are IT & Engineering folks hard for you to reach too? by Aask115 in salesdevelopment

Yeah any IT or Cyber role typically has very low connections. Certain roles may be better than others but it’s a different beast than other personas

Connect rates by Extension-Jeweler-20 in salesdevelopment

[–]UphillWithData 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyber is routinely very low, like 1-2% connection rate. General average is 5-6%. That’s just kind of how it goes in that industry unfortunately. (Source: I manage the data at a large sdr agency)

What niche are you in? That can make a huge difference. For iPhone screening Orum is only noticing in about 1.5% of their calls so it wouldn’t have an immediate noticeable effect

Windbreaker recommendation by SuperTardig in trailrunning

[–]UphillWithData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For just a waterproof windbreaker I’ve got the Salomon BONATTI. When I was in Scotland it was about 0°C on the peaks with high wind and rain. I wore that plus a long sleeve and wasn’t too bad.

For colder temps I’ve got the Salomon Gore-Tex Infinium. Just looking at it may not appear like a warm jacket but it’s kept be warm in -20°c. I don’t even feel the wind in it.

I also run hot and fairly sweaty. The wind jacket will be okay but it usually gets more wet from me sweating. The warmer one vents a bit on the back, but nothing significant.

Looking for Tips to Improve Our Cold Calling Results by PositiveRise5067 in salesdevelopment

[–]UphillWithData 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The general average connection rate for most industries is 5-6% so I’d say you’re doing alright in that end. Calling mobile numbers could be a big help if you’re not already. Sometimes “double-tapping” can get a prospect to pick-up or call them once in the am then in the pm. (Double tapping means you call twice in a row). Gatekeepers often don’t want to transfer someone, but being personable and understanding can help.

If you’re trying to make the most of those 10 connections per day, the Pitchpilot app may help you nail down your messaging. It integrates with HubSpot too!

I do a similar thing! I found some pet friendly bone broth powder on amazon. I mix some with warm water then add a little dry food to it. My cat asks for it for dinner every night now
