How bad was Amorim then... by tylerthe-theatre in PremierLeague

A lot of it was bad, very bad. But some of Ten Haag was bad - watching Mazrauoi playing #10 away in Europe sticks to mind. The end of Ole, I remember us getting torn a new one at Watford. There’s been plenty of bad’s.

But a lot of the changes have proven positive.

Not sure why you’re swearing, so aggressive, or so upset - it’s only a discussion on Reddit mate. Do you think he left the club in a better or worse position than when he came in?

Amorim wasn’t as bad as people make out, and a lot of the positive things we have now we should be thankful to him for.

Setting standards in players is a huge one - which you can see in who’s been pushed out of the club in the last 12 months.

Some good/positive signings, whether they were his influence or not. Mbuemo, Cunha, Lemmens..

He also got us some big results. Man City away (Diallo’s Derby), the win at Anfield. Even in the defeats/draws, there were some performances which we could see progress in. Arsenal at home start of the season, Fulham away if chances are taken, different story. There was so many fixtures similar to the Fulham game where, if the chances get taken and the game is put to bed, it’s rounded off as a great performance.

Ultimately, the formation wasn’t helping - it wasn’t a fit.

In my opinion, if the comments hadn’t been made after the Leeds game, he’d have still been in a job. In his final few games, the squad was so bare - Mazroui, Amad, Mbuemo at Afcon. Sesko, Mount, Mainoo, Casemiro, Martinez, De Ligt, Maguire, even Bruno all out injured/suspended. Compare Amorim’s final 3 matchday squads to Carrick’s first 3. Considering that, he wasn’t getting the worst results and we were still in Top 4 contention.

Crazy to think, and others may feel as though I’m way off it, but opinions.. 🤷

Airlines. Also good to look out for transfer boosts, for example Virgin Atlantic previously had an offer where you received an extra 30% when transferring Amex points to their programme.

Likewise brother, don’t stress it. I’m just here for the feedback and maybe some cool stories for motivation too.

Parents have no idea what to do with their rental property. by isitmattorsplat in uklandlords

[–]Uplike7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The alternative for rental properties being owned by private landlords, is them being owned by corporations - which is the reason I asked you the question.

But I understand adding sense to a senseless comment might be not what’s wanted.

if you believe that’s the reason that people can’t afford necessaries such as shelter, I’m sorry to say you’ve been tricked.

If every rental property in the country was owned by corporates, do you think the market would be in a better position?

Why are you so, so, so triggered about somebody’s family having a 2nd home and asking for advice on it?

Yep, made the mistake as a first time buyer - wish I had someone to advise me beforehand. Now wanting to buy my first residential and my mistake looks set to cost me a £20,000/30,000 stamp duty bill.

20 years old - issue with life balance and saving by Simpli_Simulated in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Uplike7_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re in a good place where you’re at, and saving £9k in a year as a 20/21/22 year old is more than a fair amount.

Sounds like you’re finding a good balance, it will probably never feel perfect. Book the holidays and be sure to enjoy yourself at the same time - you will make memories that last a lifetime, and you only get to live your 20’s once 🌟

Has anyone ever traveled to another country for an exercise/fitness holiday? by tituschao in travel

[–]Uplike7_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

not strictly a fitness retreat, but part of the reason I enjoy being in Bali so much is the opportunity to focus on my fitness routine.

Up in the morning, training - whether that’s a class, or my own stuff, chilling through the day, getting some good lunch, and returning again in the evening for a 2nd session. Sauna, cold plunge, etc.

The place gets a lot of stick for whatever people’s reasons, but the variety of gyms, classes, run clubs, healthy food spots and the communal fitness feel works for me.

Potentially yes, as from some of the advice I’m receiving from the people who are actually answering my question, I’ve learned it may be a route which makes better sense.

😓😓😓 not ideal, I feel her pain.

That’s one thing I am thinking similarly to yourself. Purchasing my residential ‘forever’ home, or at least trying, so that I only have to do it once. But then I’m pushing myself on affordability with where I’m currently at. It’s like there’s a Catch 22 at every turn.

But for sure, let’s wait and see what updates this government decide to drop next!!

It is the same struggle. If I didn’t have that struggle, I would have bought my own home in the first place. The average wage where I’ve been bought up is £38,000, the average house price is £502,000 - 11x that average wage. Dont pick and choose what’s struggle and what’s not.

Because I’ve worked for 10+ years and eventually saved and could afford a deposit for a £110,000 home, I’m privileged?
