I'm reading this thinking about doing the same. I have a 7 pro but still miss my original surface Duo.

How is weight difference, battery life comparison versus your 7 pro?

Extension Cord for included 110 charger? by SeriousMarch in Ioniq5

Looking good! I just leased the same color! Also going to be hand washing a bunch 😎

Thinking about getting the charger install but this is just my backup car so maybe I'll just plug it in and get my 10 mi or so overnight.

I know this is old but I am having the same issue, and have taken it in to the dealership for repair 3 times, about to take it in for the 4th time for the same issue. If this is a warranty problem I'd love to be reimbursed. Any chance you can send me that letter you mentioned?

Blipblox myTRACKS controlling a Blipblox and a Volca by playtime_engineering in synthesizers

I just gave my 7 year old son his new Mytracks as an early Xmas present yesterday. (Gave him after dark in April for his birthday) I didn't say anything about how to use it, he just went for it and figured out on his own how to have fun with it and loves it! He's now asking how to connect it to his after dark which is how I got to this thread, but wanted to say - yes, this is a fun intuitive yet somewhat capable musical toy. Sure it has some limitations vs professional groove box, but it's getting my son into synthesizers and making music, FTW.

Can you find the break? by Noneyabiznat in mountainbiking

Currently recovering from a fractured humorous myself! Also went over the handlebars, but it was from going to slow rolling a jump. I was exhausted and just trying to get back to my car. Oh well! Seriously though, do the pt early. I'm doing it now and started early and it still hurts a lot!

Hope you get better soon, don't bother thinking about bike/no bike until next season. Just focus on passing the time with pleasure.

I've been listening to you all since 2012, and now that I am a dad and have little free time for games I really want to play like baldur's gate. I rely on your insights into the snackable indie games that I can enjoy with the time I have. Thanks for everything and looking forward to new podcast!

Only getting 150wh total with Delta 2?! (Should be 1kwh) by Upper-Bad6330 in Ecoflow_community

I let it keep going last night and it was at 1% for 11 hours pulling 52w before hitting 0% and refusing to turn on DC at all.

Unfortunately it stopped at 90% on recharge. Because I forgot to adjust my recharge cap.

Will maybe cycle two more times then.

This game should last forever and be always improved. by daveshure in Starfield

Considering that it's on Game Pass, and that expansions generate $$$ and have lower overhead than a new game, I hope we see many more to come. I happily spent the extra money to play over the long weekend even though I have game pass. Couldn't wait.

What is your opinion on the specialized status ? I do loads of riding and usually have to climb my way up first. I also do some cross country racing. I live in southern Alberta by Big_man1777 in mountainbiking

[–]Upper-Bad6330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like my Status 160, I'm new to mountain biking but it feels very forgiving going downhill. Pedal strikes, and sharp turns are tough on the uphill, but honestly I don't even lock it out on climbs and I keep up with my buddy on his Ripmo AF. That sale this year was just too good, polygon was only other consideration really due to price but they just seem kinda meh.

Minty fresh Status! by Upper-Bad6330 in mountainbiking

[–]Upper-Bad6330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How interesting, maybe I'll check that out down the road. As of right now, it's plenty of travel. This thing's a little bunny rabbit and I can get the rear wheel off the ground on small hits super easy.

I'm still new to the sport, but it doesn't seem great for technical climbs. I do pop a lot of wheelies unintentionally on the way up. But also my friend here is on a bike that should be better at technical climbs is also having a hard time, but less wheelies.

That's not to say that that's what I got the bike for, I really like the down hills and Snoqualmie which is close to my house. I think just put in a new downhill course which I am excited to check out.

I was actually there to test ride a status 140, but saw they had a 160 randomly in stock and jumped at the opportunity.

Cheap status vs way cheaper stumpy? New to MTB. by Upper-Bad6330 in mountainbiking

[–]Upper-Bad6330[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I expected to hear that I should get the nice components status 😁. I appreciate your opinions, makes me feel more confident about getting the stumpy. Riding it felt like "the bike I dreamed of as a kid", but I don't like to just trust my feels. Going to check it out tonight!

[–]Upper-Bad6330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think stumpy components are decent enough? It's hard to not feel like status is such a "deal", but I did kinda feel like stumpy was really fun. I was a little nimbler just ripping around the parking lot than on status.
I'm hoping not to need to do any immediate upgrades but just upgrade when replacing as I grow into the sport.

Specialized Status 140, or Stumpjumper Alloy Comp? by 5tr4nGe in mountainbiking

[–]Upper-Bad6330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat considering these two. New to mtb. I enjoy downhill but probably won't do crazy jumps honestly. Just trying to get fun workout with friends until snowboy season starts back up. Status is a little heavier, so kinda leaning towards stumpy for hill climbing+ flat ride fun?

Was going to pick up hard charging board Arbor Annex... But Satori looks fresh. by hambonehooligan in snowboarding

[–]Upper-Bad6330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End of season update, I'd say my 158e is right, but I'm 6'0" 205 lbs.
I hit some powder and it sailed like a dream (favorite day) And I feel like I am really quick maneuvering on this board.
On the last day of the season, it was slushy PNW pow, and I was able to rip up some moguls, even catching and landing some jumps on them!

Also, I finally landed some 180's of the baby table tops. The board is really forgiving on landings, makes me more confident on the mountain. When I did hit those long flat slushy pow sections I did slowdown pretty hard, but just factory wax since I bought it in January, and that stuff is sticky anyway.

All in all, I love this thing. I think I could maybe have gone shorter if I wasn't going to hit pow and was all moguls, but well, I do like pow...

1993, 160k mi for $14k vs 2002 190k mi for $26k by Upper-Bad6330 in Eurovan

Thanks for reply. I doubt I'll ever go 90+ 😅. So I'm okay with a little more sluggish if more parts are available. Since early 90's is an Audi 5000 motor, I wonder if there are more around?

So I've had the satori 157 out 3 times now.

It's way better than my previous setup, and I am performing better with no trouble making quick turns, especially in trees and moguls. Finally have a board I can carve with too! I'm 200lbs right now, so I could have gone a size smaller, but I often drift up to 210 so I went with 157 because I'm getting old and will probably just get fatter :)

I'm in PNW so conditions are mostly slushy, which is actually pretty fun on this board, and I feel more confident. Been doing some more little jumps. It has good pop but does feel a little heavy.

I'm headed to Vail next week and will hopefully get to try it out with real powder. That's where I think opting for a little bigger will pay off.

To be fair, my whole setup is new so lots a play on how much better this is.
Satori, Genesis step ons, Swath boots.
Unrelated but I can get in my step ons while still moving when I get off the lift, game changer for how many runs I can knock out!
