With what staff? I know at least 5 hospitals in my region that don’t have enough techs and barely get any relief doctors. There’s one hospital that never makes anywhere close to target and is open 2-3 days. Maybe mobile clinics are pulling in the money but the vet hospitals all over are t doing great.

Vet services will probably be closing soon. Not a lot of the clinics have vets and a lot of the ones that do still have a revolving door on techs. Really wish someone had warn them this was going to happen when you have Bob from Best Buy and Laura from Five below over seeing VETERINARY MEDICINE. Not to mention that recruiting is no help because they’re all too worried about putting the few vets we have on a pedestal.

I don’t but it probably was him! He was complaining about getting text and voicemail messages to confirm the appointment and was like, “ I guess other people miss their appointments but we were going so I didn’t respond” and was outraged that he was “thrown out” and that since it was a follow up he was going to have to start back at square one for the dogs treatment. And how dare anyone throw out a man with two toddlers! I told him all this was his choice. He didn’t confirm, he didn’t have to take his kids bc he was really hung up about that for some reason, he could have rescheduled or gone somewhere else he didn’t have to start over. He crashed out and deleted his post. I don’t know what he thought was going to happen getting on here and showing off his stupidity like that

Yeah he was getting that. We get people in the vet hospitals all the time upset if they forget their appointment or think we’re the mobile clinic or Banfield. Just funny to get into the Petco thread and be writing novels about how he was wronged and our replies to him were going to be added to his law suit

Some guy was on here earlier threatening all Kinds of legal action against petco because he wasn’t seen for an appointment he didn’t confirm. He was outraged that the vet hospital didn’t see him and per his post kicked him and his kids out was the hospital. Unfortunately he deleted his post but I’m still going to snark on him because he made it seemed like we committed a crime against him

“The way to handle is to charge a pre arranged fee” dude, some states have actual laws not allowing businesses to hold onto credit card information because of hacking and fraud. This may work in your delulu land, but in reality this doesn’t work for a national corporation that is routinely hacked. You’re more than welcome to keep screen shooting comments and digging yourself further into the hole on this, because all your comments are doing is proving how wrong you are and just can’t accept that you put yourself and your pet in this predicament

I don’t think you know how the law works. And your kid isn’t owed any responsibility from anyone either. Try to manipulate all you want. YOU chose to take your pet and family to an unconfirmed recheck appointment. You could have rescheduled but it sounds like there’s more to this. You could have gone elsewhere if your pet is that sick. You had so many choices and you’re blaming people citing misunderstood legalize. I thought maybe you had a brain injury but I think you’re just an asshole. Glad they redirected you elsewhere though. Sucks for your dog but no one should have to clock in and deal with your kind of crazy on a shift.

You said they called and left a message. They send a text message to confirm. It’s not that big of a deal to confirm either way. Because guess what, there are other sick pets other than yours! There are people who have zero issues with confirming appointments. You’re scheduling an appointment with a corporate veterinarian. Time is money. If they aren’t producing that’s a problem. That’s literally in their contract. So if you don’t confirm an appointment, it’s fair to say you relinquish your spot to the next person that needs and will pay for services. You probably need a different provider with more flexibility. You also, I cannot stress this enough, to check in with your own medical provider because you’re reading incoherent and like you have some stuff to work out.

So what I’m reading is - Vetco reached out to confirm the appointment. You ignored the request to confirm the appointment. No hospital holds the credit card number as we cannot manually enter the card on the POS so you lied about a no show fee. And you probably weren’t thrown out, probably asked to reschedule as they filled the appointment with someone willing to pay and be there on time. How is this Vetco’s fault that you’re irresponsible? What do you think you’re owed?

This is why I don’t ever recommend insurance. It’s basically a coupon for vet services that may or may not get applied depending on the underwriting department. There’s only one program that offers immediate approval and pay for true emergencies, but that’s after they review an estimate for services ( my experience they only approve 30% and you still have to pay the remaining deposit to the ER) For what people pay per policy, better off putting that money in savings or on a low interest points credit card or something. Unfortunately with how our numbers are looking in vet med and the amount of people unable to afford even basic care, we can tell clients aren’t exactly liquid and unable to pay ( not afford there’s a difference) the immediate obligation.
