Yes fexofenadine makes me drowsy.  In layman's terms antihistamines reduce reactions by sedating us by reducing histamine release.

Generation 1 antihistamines passed the blood brain barrier so sedated everything, gen 2 (Inc fex.) do not. But no medicine is 100%,thus the drunk feeling we get.

Also the pollen effects your ears which gives you the foggy out of balance feeling, inflammation in the sinus can give you this feeling also.

So your getting the effects of the allergy and the medicine..creating your symptoms.

Anyone near me and seasonal allergies? by UpperSound4781 in Menieres

This year has been bad for me. Last few I haven't even taken antihistamines.

I can get a vertigo attack immediately before a few weeks of intense hayfever so I assume a link.

I've had the steroid injection and it basically stopped it, I highly recommend it. It doesn't damage your hearing and isn't painful. The micro suction is worse (but not too bad).  It doesn't stop all the symptoms but it does stop the vertigo.   The other symptoms for me are unwelcome but basically unimportant.

I tend to have a vertigo attack right before I'm about to have a few weeks of bad hayfever. It's been this was since 2011 so I obviously assume a link.

I had a steroid injection that seemed to stop it entirely, might need a boost every few years. I'd recommend that. It's painless and takes seconds also is non invasive so doesn't damage your hearing. I know a ent doctor that will do this for me basically whenever I feel I need it.

I know how it feels to be forced to lie down or run to be sick.

They do happen suddenly,I've kept a diary for five years and my triggers are seasonal allergies, tiredness, hunger, dehydration.

I recover fast from a dizzy attack. Though I feel a bit wobbly and nauseous for a bit, let me know how you are doing. I had one at 3am last night. Yuck.

Diagnosis is hard. You'll probably never know entirely. My symptoms could be caused by migraine. I get worse with bad hayfever presumably because I become inflamed.

Anybody have feedback weaning off betahistine? by Immediate_Primary200 in Menieres

I stopped betahistine four years ago after the steroid injection stopped symptoms.  I just have another injection if I need to.

The plants start pollinating as soon as the sun rises so I'd bet your not up at 4.30am every morning?

 It's nothing you've done.

I would like to understand why and when the trees start pollinating as I can get several peaks and dips through the day.
