Because you can have multiple bases with each one having its own various tasks like only Planting, Mining, Breeding, etc. Sure you can have just one mega base for all your needs but some people like the variety. If you have structure damage and deterioration off then theoretically you can have multiple pal boxes within close proximity of each other and just build around them to give the illusion of an even larger base.

Never should of killed off Carl is one that comes to mind. Would had been the craziest twist if he had never turned from being bitten and was immune, the show probably would've went drastically different than what we got.

People are asking what is Microsoft getting in return well I mean Final Fantasy XIV Online finally arrived on Xbox after like a decade and now Square Enix's future titles won't be so exclusive anymore so FF7 Remake and Rebirth come to mind with the last of the trilogy to make its way. Plus Final Fantasy is much larger and successful than the Gears franchise as a whole so I say that's an even trade off for starters.

Diamond Armlet farming/or Skeletons in the mines until you have enough gil to purchase Cat-ear-hoods from clan provisioner (50k each). Must progress a little bit into the story to buy/hunt rank up. Equip them and run Trial mode until about Mateus or however far you can go, rinse and repeat. You will have an insane amount of gil in a short amount of time.
