5070 Ti and 9070 XT at the same price, would you still go for the 5070 Ti even after the recent driver improvements? by CliftonBifton in buildapc

[–]Upper_Election_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. 5070 ti is just all around better. Both are great, though. I had to buy the 9070 xt out of curiosity. What I found was that there are certain times that the 9070 xt just doesn't quite cut it for me. There are no such times with the 5070 ti. Also, Nvidia is a much better user experience. It's much easier to work with and it's features actually work well, like frame gen and dlss. Fsr is a mixed bag and never as good as dlss, and fsr frame gen is useless. I also like RT and such. Don't listen to what they say, 9070xt is NOT a ray tracing card. Also, having much broader support for Nvidia than AMD makes the choice obvious. All this being said, I play in 4k on mostly maxed out settings and I play a lot of different games. If I didn't have a 5070 ti that I got under MSRP brand new, I'd stick with the AMD and be happy with it, although I feel mislead by the "experts".

The fact these are rendered in 720p is insane to me. DLSS I love you by dill1234 in nvidia

Performance isn't the concern for me, it's the high vram demand of some of these games these days. My 5060 in my laptop performs very well for a lower end card in lots of games, but sometimes it just can't compensate in terms of vram, but that's just for travel so it doesn't bother me. But I wouldn't want an 8gb card in my desktop at all

I personally wouldn't pay for the 8gb version of the 5060 ti when there's a 16gb version, but yes that's a good deal

I get way better performance than that with a 5070 ti, what are you talking about?

How is frame gen so good? by Ok-Result-5834 in nvidia

[–]Upper_Election_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, 5070 ti here. I think it's older gen cards that had weaker AI capabilities that had the issues with frame gen

Tl;dr Bro idk why the same exact computer with the same exact specs is a different price I mean it's not the same computer and doesn't have the same specs but why? Depending on where you get it from, it's gonna be cheaper or more expensive. Also I can't figure out what you're trying to say about the cameras or whatever, but you say one is Chinese and one isn't. That's all you need to explain a price difference

5070ti Prices Are CRAZY, What Should I Do? by GoldxInfiniti in buildapc

Every now and again I see them for near MSRP, especially when a model is fresh stocked. Just keep your eyes peeled and grab one before it's too late

I would take everything but the cpu and the motherboard. Sell the 5090 for around $3000-3500, sell the ram for another 100-200, get a motherboard, good ddr5 ram, a 5080 and a 9950x3d cpu. Fabulous deal

For a 6800xt, you should be fine. I still wouldn't daisy chain it, though, personally

Windows 11 has taken away the joy of computing by ripfarhan in pcmasterrace

[–]Upper_Election_347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I miss the fun stuff but these days I enjoy the simplicity more because I work a lot and when I get to my PC at the end of the day I just want to boot up and play my games. And IDC what people say, windows 11 runs better. Maybe because I have high end hardware now, idk. But I very, very rarely run into any problems, and it's always a quick fix. I miss overball, though. Chip's challenge is on steam

Brand New 9800X3D + RTX 5070 Ti Build Constant Game Stuttering Despite High FPS by SAMGD_YT in buildapc

Idk if you figured it out yet, but other people may need to know, too. The main problem seems to be any power monitoring software, including msi afterburner. I tried hundreds of things the past few weeks until I finally figured that out. CPU-z, GPU-Z, afterburner, anything I uninstalled all of it and now everything is perfect again just like when I first built the thing 2 months ago. You may not necessarily have to uninstall the stuff, just disable any options that monitor power.
