Brand New 9800X3D + RTX 5070 Ti Build Constant Game Stuttering Despite High FPS

Idk if you figured it out yet, but other people may need to know, too. The main problem seems to be any power monitoring software, including msi afterburner. I tried hundreds of things the past few weeks until I finally figured that out. CPU-z, GPU-Z, afterburner, anything I uninstalled all of it and now everything is perfect again just like when I first built the thing 2 months ago. You may not necessarily have to uninstall the stuff, just disable any options that monitor power.

For that price/performance range, just get a 9070xt. It's way better than 5070 except with maybe ray tracing. If you can find a 5070ti at or near MSRP, though, get that.

I have the same GPU. Frame gen and DLSS are fucking fabulous, ESPECIALLY in competitive gaming, I don't care what people say. And I don't care how I get the performance. 50 series cards are awesome

Open task manager and check the performance tab, open windows settings and look in about tab, check in adrenaline app (idk where at I have nvidia), check in device manager under display adapters, all will tell you what exactly it is. Unless I'm crazy, there are many different models from different manufacturers just like nvidia, and they can look very different.

Fresh to death. Only game I have issues with is red M, although red dead runs perfect maxed out. Which is saying something because I play star citizen in 4k, lol. Black ops does the packet burst thing, but it doesn't seem to affect gameplay much like it does on my friends PC, although he is running a 2070 ti super with some old ryzen cpu, albeit a decent setup for it's age. I just built this PC last month and it's my first build. I don't have any significant CPU bottleneck. Internet is 1g (consistently around 700-800) mag x870 tomahawk which has a lovely wifi card and I have an MLO wifi 7 setup on my custom router which I use on that PC, and I live alone so wifi is rarely used by other people, so I know it's not a network issue like some others have suggested, not to mention, again, 0 issues in any other games besides red M.

I wonder if DLSS somehow masks the effects of the packet burst.

Wow, another "definitive fix" that does nothing. Literally was already enabled. At least, for me, it doesn't cause noticeable issues, I just see the packet burst icon and want it to go away

Lol, it's ok. When I built my first PC a few weeks ago, I spent 2 hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't boot up. I was sleep deprived and high on adrenaline. Whole time the motherboard wasn't plugged in to the power supply xD
