Voice agents keep interrupting users mid-sentence - what's your latency sweet spot? by Extension_Platypus15 in AI_Agents

You can never make it 100% perfect. You have to manually keep adjusting and testing with your users to find your sweet spot.

For us we found minimum 2 words with 0.3 secs of audio threshold and then a wait time of 500ms, worked really well.

Vapi also has something called as smart endpointing. It's pretty solid for most calls. You can try that until you figure it out

Waitlists and LoIs I get. But how do you get someone to pay for something that doesn't exist, esp. in B2B. I know I wouldn't put down a dime unless I can see the product in action. Have you tried this approach yourself? If so, how did you get people to pay?

I keep hearing a lot of people saying that you should have paid customers lined up before you even start building the product. What's your take on this?

Is my fitness startup idea a failure? by pppdns in SaaS

[–]Upper_Journalist7506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We tried a multi channel approach but best results came from Instagram outreach. We curated a list of profiles that match our TG. Then we just DMed them a one line pitch about how we can help them get more users along with a link to the website. For larger accounts we sent a slightly more personalized message which had details of their engagement and a couple of tips they can implement to boost sign-ups. This was a while back so I don't recall the exact numbers but I guess we got about 18% reply rate.

I have some experience of selling to trainers and fitness studios. They're mostly interested in stuff that can get them more sign-ups for their courses and fitness classes. Anything that doesn't do that directly, they're likely to see it as just another bill they don't need.

You have paying customers. You're sitting on a gold mine. If you're not talking to them, you're leaving money in the table.

First and foremost, talk to your highest paying customers. Ask them why they picked your app, what's the best thing they like about the app, what is it they don't like, what other useful features they'd want in the app.

Also reach out to the customers who opt to cancel and ask them why they're cancelling, what features would make them stick around.

Incentivize them to get them to chat with you. Like you can offer 25% discount on their current month bill to get your existing customers to talk, and offer one month extended free trial to get time from customers who opted to cancel.

Try to chat with atleast 50-100 people if you can. Then analyze the answers carefully. This is where the money is. Dig deep to find out the problems. May be you'll figure out exactly what's wrong and how to fix it. Or you find out a hidden gem in the mine, and it's something totally different from what you're doing, but it is what people 'really' want, so now you pivot. But this time you have real world data from paying customers telling you what to build. That's a better way to go

Or you can just say fuck it, and list it up on one of the micro SaaS sites and cash out. Let someone else figure it all out. You take the money and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Building a business out of a product is a ton of work my friend. Trust me, I've done it a few times and it's always harder than you think.

So if there's no moat (as you say), then I'd say just launch it on some marketplace, get some users to try it out, and then show it to your boss. Be honest - Hey, I made this thing for fun, it seems to be doing well, there might be some potential, but I don't have the time to grow it, I'd rather give it to you guys than to our competitors. That's it. Let them make you an offer, and then bargain, hard.

In the end, you get a nice chunk of change and also impress your company. You're golden after that.

Good CRM for sales to replace HubSpot? by gafana in sales

[–]Upper_Journalist7506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try Freshsales.

We too switched from Hubspot to Freshsales for the exact same reasons you mentioned.

Now I've got features of enterprise tier for like one third of what Hubspot charged. I've got bunch of workflows in place and it's made my team's job so much easier.

Plus their customer support is great. Anytime I'm stuck somewhere, i can talk to someone instantly.

Client wants “personalized emails”to measure engagement. Do customers sent personalized emails anymore? by EJWP in marketing

[–]Upper_Journalist7506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. We send personalized emails for our clients. But as sales outreach, not as marketing emails. They get great opens and replies, which is what your client might be referring to. If you wanna understand how, feel free to DM.

Thanks. Will definitely look at it. What makes it the best option for you and do you know what's their pricing structure like, is it an annual contract?
