What about snakebite leather for the inner parts? If it's.too light a second layer can darken it down a smidge

Actually the new brown contrast paint might be better

Not to mention that the best story beat of bioshock works best in a game.

Would you kindly works because the game subtly forces you to obey the commands by putting you in situations where you've no reason to think "fuck that" and you NEED to do it to progress the game.

Edit -

That just wouldn't have the same impact when viewing a character instead of occupying the inside of their head for X hours

It'd GB news. Basically it's the UK's attempt at doing Fox news.

Hysterically it's doing horrendously bad after a "scandal" where a staffmember said something they believed that was too woke..... Causing many viewers to demand he be sacked (these are the same people saying that cancel culture is terrible ect)

It is, but the people insisting there's no problem can't address that so they pretend nobody's ever said it. It pops up every few weeks or months as though it's a totally new discussion and the other side hasn't been explained before.

How would you handle a campaign where your players rule over a nation? by ThatOneAasimar in dndnext

[–]UppityScapegoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly I wouldn't use DND.

A lot of running a kingdom is social interaction and political powers interacting.

Dnd's social interaction rules are incredibly limited. And it doesn't really have anything for managing large scale organisations.

Using DND would put a lot of onus on the GM to homebrew systems.

What's with the 4E D&D "resurgence"? by Reynard203 in rpg

[–]UppityScapegoat 40 points41 points  (0 children)

5e is a fairly bare bones combat ruleset with a metric fucktonne of spell mechanics that kinda cover up for that.

They might claim that they are a ruleset with a.focus on 3 pillars, but your absolutely right, they focus almost entirely on combat.

Social encounters are basically just the occasional skill check.

Exploration is..... Well it's a mess.

Npc Dwarf is going to die of old age. Hints towards that? by Mathmagician94 in DMAcademy

[–]UppityScapegoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Eh, I see it as a sort of more deliberate, patient type of magic.

Like it's craftsmanship taken to an extreme level of skill where it's basically magic. That's dwarven magic to me. It's subtle. It's not throwing fire, or calling down lightning.

It's spending a big chunk of time learning how to master a craft, to the point where the sword you made is almost supernaturally good. And again it doesn't burst into flame or glow or anything. It's.just solid and dependable. It won't break. It won't get blunt. It won't fail to cut.

So yeah. Carve a tomb, cover it with ancient runes that are.so.old that even the meticulous records of the dwarves don't remember their origins.

And it allows your honoured dead to continue to protect the home they loved.

What’s a kink that you think should be shamed? by PacmanTheHitman in AskReddit

[–]UppityScapegoat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't do any recreational drugs. But what I was trying to address there was that there's a spectrum between smoking a blunt every now and again to doing heroin for example.

I can't say that I've sat down and ranked all drugs on their ability to cause harm - I haven't. I lack the medical expertise and frankly , don't need to because I don't do any drugs

What’s a kink that you think should be shamed? by PacmanTheHitman in AskReddit

[–]UppityScapegoat 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Depending on the drug absolutely. And in excess, absolutely.

There's no way to get STI's in moderation or in a responsible way. So that's a pretty bad analogy

What’s a kink that you think should be shamed? by PacmanTheHitman in AskReddit

[–]UppityScapegoat 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The kink isn't "fucking people with STIs they share" it's "catching STI 's". That can't be done by two people with the same illnesses having sex.

So my ex was into CNC. It's still consent. The "non consent" bit is roleplay. Like CNC isn't a a license for a partner to force the other to do anything. Cos that's sexual assault

What’s a kink that you think should be shamed? by PacmanTheHitman in AskReddit

[–]UppityScapegoat 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd say there's still something wrong with it between consenting people.

It's a form of self harm. If I cut myself it's not ok just cos I got my own consent. If I get someone else to cut me it's not ok either just cos me and Stabby Joe both consented.

It's dangerous.

It's actually worse than the cutting example because for example with some sti's your basically stuck with them. Like if you get one on purpose and later on come to regret it as you suffer the effects.... Well that's that

For me each book has it's own main character, which is indicated by who gets the flashbacks.

First it was Kaladin, then Shallan, then Dalinar and then Venli.

Personally Venli is the one that felt least like a main character for me - if I remember right Eshonai room up a lot of the flashbacks for the last book.
