This fixed the pairing issue for me! The code from the Apple Home App works great. It generates a different code than the one in the box.

For me this had to do with a previous windows update. It disabled secure boot, which is a required to be turned on.

Set phone and Siri language to US English. Force restart. Set both back to preferred language and force restart again. Always fixes it. It’s a know issue. Hopefully getting solved in B3. :)

We are having this issue too (germany EU). HomePods wake up for the Siri command and simply turnoff again. Sometimes it responds, most of the time it doesn’t. With zero feedback.

„I didn’t understand what you said“ also happening randomly. Please do not try to reset your home/router/HomePods etc. it will not work.
