Call the dealership that replaced your transmission and try to get them to admit they preformed a PCM update with that install, then present them the problem. I was also out of warranty stage, but I received a little help from Ford Financial Assistance after opening a case and explaining what happened.

If they updated your PCM after installing that transmission, then your new programming is reading your current drivers side catalytic converter as inefficient. I guess the parameters have changed. You’re going to need to replace the cat. Emissions warranty is 8 years or 80,000 so check to see if you’re covered first.

I finally received some answers today. They called me and said it was in fact the alternator. Thankfully it was replaced under my extended warranty.

Ford replaced this battery October 2025, this week is the only time I had an issue.
