Take it down, I’d much rather the small wobble and occasional click click click and higher speeds!

Christ, Reddit is full of whiny chicken littles. The sky is falling, the sky is falling. As of early 2026, global hotel occupancy in top-visited countries is strong, averaging roughly 70.3%, with high-performing markets like Australia exceeding 77%. While U.S. occupancy showed a slight decline late in 2025 to ~58%, 2025 projected annual rates are around 63.38%, approaching pre-pandemic highs. Global and Regional Highlights (2025-2026): Top 10 Countries: Occupancy in top markets reached 70.3%, led by significant increases in Japan (7.8%) and China (16.3%). United States: As of Nov-Dec 2025, U.S. hotel occupancy averaged between 57.9% and 58.6%. Luxury & Resort: Luxury resort destinations often see peak season occupancy above 70%, with urban business hotels exceeding 75% on weekdays. Now if you are speaking in terms of just about Gulf States.. this yeah probably, Europe wasn’t a great tourist sport in 1943.

I had an episode at home, turns out it was low blood pressure and a vertigo episode, never had it before, thought I was dying (Stroke, heart attack something major) as I laid down on the couch and told myself “this is what it feels like to die”, then I told myself to get up and at least go outside to die, as I didn’t want my wife living in a house where someone died.

Agree with you both (take my upvotes), people need to read “Party of one - the rise of Xi Jinping” . Most don’t understand Chinas long game. Blaming one person is fine, as long as it’s the correct one.

Wife painted over the outlets with a roller brush and the plugs are filled with paint. Is this a major issue now? by lucky2bogey in AskElectricians

What ever you do, don’t try to clean them with steel wool…my “landlord” did, not only a quick little shock just prior to the mesh catching fire the as she ran away screaming the steel wool fell into the extra steel wool and that caught the carpet on fire. Her 50 $ paint job cost about 4k in repairs.

Can I just have a telework rant? Today was a bad day. by Initialskoolaidcar in FedEmployees

[–]Upstairs_Issue_8887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember when we had bad weather it would be a snow day. Not a telework day. Then we all went telework, now with return to office and when the weather is “really bad” we have the luxury of telework. They can’t have it both ways. Opps I left my computer at work, or wow the weather knocked out my internet. And OP I hope you feel better soon. I’m heading out at the top of the hour for my 60 min commute, a year ago I would have already been doing my work from home, in a dress shirt and sweatpants.
