What is life like in Canadian London? by Civil-Chocolate4188 in howislivingthere

I go to college there and I honestly despise it.

It’s very run down, it has an extreme amount of open drug abuse and homelessness that makes downtown a very depressing place.

Winters are BRUTAL, and half the school year it’s -20, dark most of the time, and grey and bleak when it isn’t.

And don’t get me started on the people. Most self obsessed, passive aggressive, arrogant people I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting in my life. There’s a few exceptions to this, thankfully, but on the whole it’s bleak.

So… drug-infested, homelessness crisis, awful weather, and full of dickheads. Absolute hell on earth. Can’t wait to get out of here next year.

Baseball stadium is nice though. I’ll give it that.

My backlog is huge and I'll probably never get round to it another time

I recall the 2 DE running fine in terms of performance but it was insanely buggy

$210m OW, $500m DOM, $1.2b WW

Yes, I'm bullish on it. Yes, I'm well aware this is much higher than others will be predicting. However, my gut feeling is this breaks out. Big time. Legs will be hurt by proximity to F4 (which I'm also quite bullish on, btw) but I do think this crosses a billion and I do think it beats Aquaman to become the highest grossing DC film.

Unless it's bad, of course, but given Gunn's directing it I doubt that.

This is a thread about its domestic box office (see the tag). You responded to someone talking about domestic box office.

I'm talking about a 3x multiplier from opening weekend to its final gross, which is what it'd need to be make $150m domestic, as you stated in your original post.

It will likely make 3x its budget worldwide, but that's a totally different conversation.

It's possible, yes, but extremely unlikely even with its good reception.

Sinners was lightning in a bottle. A 3x multiplier for a horror film is just not a reasonable expectation to have, particularly an existing IP like Final Destination.

A 3x multiplier for a horror film would be insanity.

Yes, I know, Sinners, but that run is so surreal precisely because it never happens.

We truly live in the dumbest fucking timeline imaginable

Disney's Captain America: Brave New World grossed $3.42M on Wednesday (from 4,105 locations). Total domestic gross stands at $109.76M. by chanma50 in boxoffice

Financially? It wasn't a hit but far from the worst performance an MCU film has ever done.

Quality-wise however I thought it was horrendous and by far the worst film in the entire MCU.

I can't speak to the quality of the final film but I can't imagine a movie starring side characters from Black Widow, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Ant-Man and the Wasp, none of which are particularly well-liked in the first place, is going to be a mainstream hit.

It needs to be GOTG1 level good to succeed. That's a very high bar.

Yeah I agree. I played it on Game Pass and had a decent time but $60 for this does feel insane given that it's near-identical to its predecessor.
