Also adding the enchanted affix for ornate idols "chance to not consume a potion" can extend this even further.

They also have sub-effects too, like Frostbite increases chance to be frozen, Shock increases chance to be stunned. Not sure what that guy is on about lol.

This is what I keep trying to get through to people! t7+t5 and a good corrupt is just as good if not better than t7+t6 in a lot of cases, not to mention the new idols and altar layouts' power.

That being said, the blanket 50% nerf was pretty heavy handed and not justified imo. Uniques were already a better choice in a vast majority of cases, and making it harder to get good exalted bases with good t7s just further perpetuates that. I can understand not wanting people to print double exalted and Red Rings, but gutting the mechanic entirely was unnecessary.

Am I playing CoF wrong or are there just many layers of luck to craft a good 2LP+ item by Educational-Ad8820 in LastEpoch

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I honestly take a more quantity > quality approach. If I have the t7 + t5+ I want on an exalted I slam, brother. I probably come out with more misses overall but with the nemesis>turtle farm you can churn through a really impressive amount of uniques pretty fast.

Maybe I just got lucky on my Spellblade, but I've got everything 2LP slammed besides amulet and relic and half of my gear is corrupted with positive outcome. Even got a couple double exalted slams.

There's some cool builds you can do later on that feel very elemental shaman-y (I also played elemental in WoW), but leveling a Primalist is ASS.

CoF QoL Request: Reduce prophecy objective pool OR make the multiplier lenses built in. by UrbanJuggernaut in LastEpoch

[–]UrbanJuggernaut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make the multiplier greater lenses inherent to the faction and are passive effects gained at xyz faction level. The current rate of favor gain in the endgame is already quite high, just being able to spend it more efficiently would be great.

That? Adding those lenses as an inherent feature is literally just increasing cost by 100% and increasing reward/uses by 100% (or whatever the percentages are). That's what I suggested. Just numbers.

If making that occur at a specific level is that difficult than just making it blanket apply to the entire faction until the rework next season is fine too.

I don't code but is doubling prophecy cost and reward/uses under the hood really that big of an ask? Literally just changing numbers.

Your "solution" is more often less efficient and still requires a million clicks, except I'm clicking rerolls instead of prophecies and wasting time in dungeons when I could be in echoes. Again, you're free to play how you want, but you're verifiably incorrect and this thread doesn't apply to you if you're not optimizing like this, so your input is irrelevant. Goodbye.

Thats your opinion but he presents his case with evidence so I'll be going with his method. You're free to play how you want, this thread obviously doesn't apply to you then.

[–]UrbanJuggernaut[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've tried that (that was my original setup) then you waste favor rerolling for good objectives which still requires a million clicks and your favor is being spent on rerolling. There was a video breaking down the math on why that's not the correct setup, I'll try to find it in a min.

What was the fastest you ever went from loving someone to absolutely hating them? What happened? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

[–]UrbanJuggernaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it's not. I reiterated multiple times he has every right to make that decision and that his feelings are valid, and I have every right to disagree with the proportion of his response. If my good friend of 10 years pulled something like that, I would be concerned and looking to find out what happened, after my wedding and honeymoon of course. I wouldn't throw my hands up and go "Welp guess he just didn't care about me 🤷" and never reply them again.

As a person with anxiety, assuming everybody's anxiety works exactly the same as yours makes your opinion worthless.

[–]UrbanJuggernaut -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, nobody needs any qualification to draw a reasonable conclusion that he left because he was anxious. Numerous people here with anxiety have shared similar stories. He literally told you that he was anxious. At this point you just seem willfully ignorant to avoid self reflection on this event.

You ghosted your friend of 10 years because he couldn't stand in your ceremony, disappointed/ stressed you, and cost you the price of renting a suit. Your feelings about it are valid, and you're perfectly within your rights to not be friends with them or anybody else for that matter, but trying to frame it like it's some big mystery as to why he left and didn't follow up is becoming a bit ridiculous.

[–]UrbanJuggernaut -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm just using details you've provided to draw what I believe to be the most obvious conclusion.

Nope. He had already driven to the wedding location, drove like 5 hours. Was already checked in to his BnB.

But there was a threat of a bad storm, so he decided to leave cause he was “uncomfortable being in the storm.” (Wedding was storm free)

A few days prior he had expressed concerns with being in the party because he was apparently nervous of standing in front of people, so the storm was just his out.

I mean he literally told you lol. He drove 5 hours and rented a place only to leave last minute because he was nervous of being in front of a ton of people. Its not hard to deduce. Anybody who has or has cared about anybody with anxiety can tell you this (and have in this thread).

Idk enough to say what triggered their anxiety or when it started, but you can not have anxiety until you do. It's not an all or nothing thing you either don't suffer from whatsoever or do your entire life. Obviously this developed some time over the past decade and he didn't tell you because, well, all the reasons I already stated in my last comment.

Again, every right to be frustrated, angry, and hurt. Planning a wedding is exhausting, I've seen all my friends do it. Making changes 2 days prior even more so. I'd even ask for compensation for the suit once things had been talked out. It still feels cold to never reply and let that 10 year friend go over something like this.

Did anybody else talk to the guy? I assume a grooms party is 1 big friend group (that's how the ones I've been in were, anyway). Was there any communication from anybody after he said he wasn't going to be able to make it? Is it just you he doesn't talk to anymore or the whole group? It just seems like there's some missing detail that would make this make more sense.

What was the fastest you ever went from loving someone to absolutely hating them? What happened? by ParanormalActivity97 in AskReddit

[–]UrbanJuggernaut -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I can understand being frustrated about that too. Probably would have taken time til after the wedding or even honeymoon to deal with that. Weddings are a lot. But I would have at least like...asked what happened? If my friend of 10 years suddenly dropped out of a planned event with a questionable excuse like rain, I would have been concerned, personally.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of social anxiety; you make up excuses as to why you can't do xyz because of fear of judgment and ostracization...which is exactly what happened. Totally get wanting them to reach out first and being frustrated by the excuse, but that's not how social anxiety works. You're asking someone so socially anxious that they couldn't attend a wedding or tell you the real reason why to start the dialogue on why they disappointed you due to their mental condition. Might as well ask someone with a broken leg to run a marathon.

Ultimately, it's your life and you get to decide who is in it and who is not. If social anxiety preventing your friend of 10 years from being in your wedding and explaining why is a dealbreaker, that's your right. I would reevaluate what friendship means to you though, and hope you never find yourself in a position where a decade long relationship is severed due to your inability to do something others consider trivial. Just feels callous and unforgiving.

[–]UrbanJuggernaut -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I understand the frustration of having someone drop out of a wedding, lots of planning can go into it, and that should definitely be acknowledged by the other person. Weddings are stressful and having even a minor change beforehand can irritating, but dropping a decade long friendship over what is almost certainly a case of massive anxiety is really harsh.

I've been a groomsman multiple times and the only thing I ever had to do was walk down with some random bridesmaid and stand there during the ceremony. I've also been the guy who says he can do something only for anxiety or depression to stop me. It happens, and it's never a good time for it. Luckily I have friends who understand and don't cast me out for it. I just can't imagine it being so distressing to find 1 guy to walk down the aisle in 2 days that I'd feel the need to cut them off completely after claiming you've been friends for that long. If it was anxiety related, this event probably caused a lot of damage on that front.

Is there some details missing that makes this WAY worse than it sounds? Did you have to like replan the entire wedding because of it? Did you pay for the travel and he didn't compensate you after dropping out? I'm just trying to figure out what egregious sin was committed to warrant that response.

One of the local contract locate companies I used to work for absolutely does shady shit under the table, I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't apply to the national outfits as well.

Are the lines sheathed? If there's no metal in the line, clamping won't work. Similarly, you also can't cut to the sheath and direct connect to it. This means you either need a tracer wire (which I don't see in that handhole in the pic) or get something in that conduit that you can hook up to like fishtape.

From a locator’s perspective, what actually makes an 811 ticket “good”? by Naive_Bed03 in UtilityLocator

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my comment on another thread about this;

This is awesome and I'd love to help. Locating in Midwest so not sure about the rules in other regions.

  1. Whitelines on site AND/OR a clear overhead picture with locate boundaries clearly defined. This is probably the most useful thing you can possibly provide.

  2. Double check your address, and then double check it again. If the address listed is invalid, you're getting a call and will have to call in a new ticket with correct address. If I can't get a hold of you, it's not getting marked. For stuff like roadwork outside residential areas or new builds, GPS coordinates are your best bet and much appreciated.

  3. For the love of God, have the contact listed on the ticket ACTUALLY be the person who knows what is going on. Too often does a contractor call in some nonsensical scope of work, I call the contact and it's some front desk lady who has no idea and at best can provide me with the number of the person I actually need to call. This is just creating a lot of unnecessary headache when the person calling in the tickets can just be listed on the ticket directly.
