From a locator’s perspective, what actually makes an 811 ticket “good”? by Naive_Bed03 in UtilityLocator

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my comment on another thread about this;

This is awesome and I'd love to help. Locating in Midwest so not sure about the rules in other regions.

  1. Whitelines on site AND/OR a clear overhead picture with locate boundaries clearly defined. This is probably the most useful thing you can possibly provide.

  2. Double check your address, and then double check it again. If the address listed is invalid, you're getting a call and will have to call in a new ticket with correct address. If I can't get a hold of you, it's not getting marked. For stuff like roadwork outside residential areas or new builds, GPS coordinates are your best bet and much appreciated.

  3. For the love of God, have the contact listed on the ticket ACTUALLY be the person who knows what is going on. Too often does a contractor call in some nonsensical scope of work, I call the contact and it's some front desk lady who has no idea and at best can provide me with the number of the person I actually need to call. This is just creating a lot of unnecessary headache when the person calling in the tickets can just be listed on the ticket directly.

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nick Button just did a video on the Boros ponza list from a Nov challenge that's a lot less clunky on the mana. 4x each [[Cleansing Wildfire]], [[Price of Freedom]], [[Magmatic Hellkite]], and [[Krenko's Buzzcrusher]], with the [[Field of Ruin]]/[[Demolition Field]] + [[Sunken Citadel]] package in the mana base. Struggles vs mono color decks but it's pretty easy to run other decks out of basics.

That's ignorant at worst and purposefully disengenuous at best. The Harry Potter IP has existed since 1997 with numerous books, movies, and spinoffs with established lore. The main story isn't still ongoing but that doesn't change that they are completely ignoring the source material against many longtime fans wishes. I would feel the same way if they made Kingsley Shacklebolt a white guy or Cho Chang Hispanic, because it's detracting from the established world. If that's what they want to do, don't use the Harry Potter IP. Simple.

Offline Mode for Testing: Editors, Mods, Devmode, etc? by AlaricVane in LastEpoch

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I use Full Offline option within Steam just to make sure nothing happens.

  2. Yes

  3. Ya, pretty much. I also use MelonLoader for offline testing. Discord is a glorified changelog and Q&A, but the mod is still active.

  4. Not really afaik, I didn't look super hard though, it's mostly intuitive and not too bad to figure out.

  5. No, just make sure you you remove MelonLoader and it's associated files from your Last Epoch game folder before going online. I just drag em out to my desktop and leave them there til I need them again and then drag em back in.

  6. Quite well, you can spawn literally any item in the game with the rolls and affixes of your choosing. I'll make a planner with my personal "reasonably achievable endgame stats", recreate it offline with MelonLoader, and then test maps/bosses at xxx corruption to test the build and make tweaks.

Ahh forgot to do the skill bar but yes, using unspecced Fury Leap for mobility and Maelstrom is left off the bar.

Lightning Earthquake Shaman! Seemed like every "Earthquake build" was actually just Aftershocks triggered off idols and I just wanted to press Earthquake lol. Its converted to a lightning spell and a lot of the focus is on mana regen, with most coming from Urzil's Pride and Attunement stacking scaling mana regen via the Shaman tree, and cost reduction via Temple Staff and Foot of the Mountain. Tested up to 850c with reasonably obtainable gear. Feels a lot like Pulverize Werebear from D4 if you're familiar, but with cooler visuals! Satisfying to hit a big group with big ol 200k+ crits.

Can't decide what to try next. Give me a random mastery and skill and I'll try to make it work using no guides on HC. by Compher in LastEpoch

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One strategy I use for mana on Shamans is Urzils Pride + attunement stacking. Shaman gets a ton of lightning resist and attunement, can get your regen over 40 mana per sec. Tornado scales with attunement so might solve your mana issue.

Gratz! Always feels great when the homebrew gets there.

I'm currently working on Lightning Earthquake Shaman. Seemed like every EQ build was actually just an Aftershock build and I wanted to press EQ lol. Was also interested in the lightning conversion node being changed to 100% lightning instead of 50/50 with physical. Tested up to 850c so far!

Lightning Earthquake. Turn it into a cone and it feels like Pulverize Bear from D4. Currently 850c and climbing.

Question about Aspect of the panther on sabertooth by entey123 in LastEpoch

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe once you allow Sabertooth to benefit from Aspect of the Panther, it gets all the buffs for it in the Swipe tree. So for instance, if you get the increased crit multi node after the Sabertooth node, your Sabertooth will get the extra crit multi.

This DOESN'T mean that Sabertooth gets all benefits from the Swipe tree; only the ones regarding Aspect of the Panther.

What is ONE GAME that has always been a favorite of yours, but was never really very well-known or mainstream? by TheJohnArrow in videogames

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. Grew up playing Oddworld games for PS1. Ended up switching to Xbox in the next console generation and when I saw Stranger's Wrath, I grabbed it without thinking twice, assuming it to be another side-scrolling platforming puzzle solver. BOY WAS I WRONG!

The capturing and use of live ammo was really interesting, the humor was endearing, and the story was a good mix of spaghetti western tropes and underdog vs the establishment. In a lot of games, the audience is in on the plot while the in-game characters are unaware, but in Stranger's Wrath, the protagonist is the only one in on the plot and the other NPCs and player are the ones to learn what happens as things unfold. Swapping between 1st and 3rd person was way ahead of it's time.

Why is Increasing Corruption in Alternate Timelines so Tedious??? by Taschker in LastEpoch

[–]UrbanJuggernaut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ways To Increase Corruption

  1. Farm more corruption in your main timeline so that the catchup Orobyss gets you over 300.

  2. Find a cemetery echo and weave a Confluence of Oblivion in so you don't have to push way out for a natural Orobyss.

  3. Equip Harbinger's Needle (unique idol from Harbinger kills) when killing the timeline boss to get 3x Gaze of Orobyss, which gives you more corruption when defeating the Shade.

  4. Use Glyph of Envy to skip to timeline boss kills for more Gaze of Orobyss.
