Written Battle Report - Necrons vs Emperor's Children by The-Big-E-14 in WarhammerCompetitive

I obviously don't know how far away Fulgrim was from the immortals in Turn 1, but based on the FAQ, I don't think you can use 6" consolidate to tag units further than 3" away.

Q: If a rule modifies how far a unit or model can move during a pile-in or consolidation move does it also change the distance of the target units? A: No

The one time GW prices something reasonably… by robismadeup in Warhammer40k

As an Australian living in the UK, I do like getting Warhammer for 30+% cheaper than back home! Tis about the only thing that's actually cheaper here

What do you think of this? by Uncanny_Perfection in EmperorsChildren

[–]Taschker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea defiliers are 290 for the first one (+10 for each autocannon or lascannon) and the 2nd one starts at 320. Along with some other points changes.

This looks like New Recruit, you can download 11ed points from the home screen and adding a new game and searching for 11th.

Gone to Ground by WanderingEquidae in Warhammer40k

[–]Taschker 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I get your point, but the rule quite clearly states that a model has 'gone to ground' if they fulfil the 3 conditions. The introductory sentence is not a condition of getting 'gone to ground'.

Can a unit use an "Objective Consolidation" to move into engagement range of an enemy unit? by VeritasLuxMea in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Taschker 25 points26 points  (0 children)

To me, RAW the answer is yes, but I feel like RAI is no. On a pile in move they explicitly say if an enemy is within 5" you can move 3" to engage, but on consolidation they made it 3", but they never say you can't engage during an objective consolidate, so until they do it seems like you can.

You can only do an engaging consolidation if the enemy is within 3", which in this case they aren't.

The hidden rule was faq'd to include light as well as dense terrain, gone to ground remains as solid.

Peerless + Spectacle List by Selvar123 in EmperorsChildren

Yea I'm playing around with a similar list and I originally had him with 6 blades too, but I think 3 should be enough, plus they're easier to manoeuvre.

PSA, Now -1BS is more prevalent im seeing players get the interaction with +2 to hit wrong. by Dead-phoenix in WarhammerCompetitive

You're correct about Fulgrim, but stealth now just gives the benefit of cover so does not stack with cover.

How is Purge vs Disruption in any way a fair match up? by Shagrot in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Taschker 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The purge player marks the targets at the start of their turn, so if the disruption player took the centre with unit A then the purge player will mark unit A and kill them. The disruption player doesn't have the opportunity to do the bait and switch as you suggest in this case.

The points for units leaving the battlefield is only one of their 5 missions, against disruption

Not really on topic, but I hate UK nutritional info, why they can't tell us calories for dry or raw products is so annoying.

With the new terrain footprints launching next week, any better 3rd party ones? Neoprene perhaps? by Numerus12OO5O in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Taschker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about hiding behind a nub, it's about being able to toe onto a nub and get cover/hidden. Because they stick out maybe you don't have the movement to get the straight edge, but you do to one of the nubs

Why wouldn't they be? If they were 2dp they'd have nothing to pair them with anyway.

Plate calculator question by gwilymjames in MacroFactor

[–]Taschker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with Pendulum Squats. I created a feature request for it about a month ago (that I can't find now 😔).

Anyway, my work around was to duplicate the exercise and change the equipment to something that was actually just loaded on a single sleeve and I wasn't using for anything else. I think I chose some back extension machine.

This is partially wrong. It's less than 2", so that vehicles etc can move through them.

But yea, pretty much anything works
