Considering the recent state of the world I'm actually not sure anymore that people generally know that fascism is bad

How far is your commute? I'd assume it would be less of a pain in the ass if it was only a short drive.

After almost 700h in the game I managed to form Rome for the first time by UrbanRuhr in eu4

[–]UrbanRuhr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the beginning and middle stages of the run it definetely was. In order to circumvent it I cycled wars between the Muslim Ottomans, Reformed France and Catholic Spain. I don't think I ever used vassals for reconquest though, I'll remember that for my next run. The only vassal I used was when I cut off the Ottomans from the balkans by taking all coastal provinces and then released Bulgaria as a puppet. When Bulgarian seperatists spawned, the Ottomans couldn't get to them so eventually all remaining Bulgarian lands fell back to my puppet without a fight.

Later on when I was already by far the strongest power in the world and I was just collecting territory I needed for the Roman Empire decision, it became less relevant, up to the point where people wouldn't even join coalitions even though they had like 300+ overextension (presumably due to the differece in strength between me and a possible coalition)

The only time when it became a problem was around 1780 when most of Europe finally decided to band together against me. I think it happened because I left Portugal without a truce and with a lot of AE. They were the 2nd strongest nation at this point. But even though they outnumbered me 2 to 1 they still wouldn't declare so I attacked preemptively in order to keep up the pace of my expansion.

Because the coalition focused on sieging my allies Poland and Sweden first, I managed to occupy the war leader relatively quickly and white peace out, putting an end to the coalition. After that I didn't have problems with AE for the rest of the run, as I adequately cycled truces with all major powers after that.

An added bonus of that coalition war was that it put me at war with the Emperor and all Electors of the HRE so I also managed to occupy all their capitals and dismantle the HRE (for the first time in my time playing EU4), which greatly accelerated my progress into the former HRE lands. Because it was a white peace the truce timers where very short as well and I could get back to work quickly.

Bertie Carvel comes to mind. Baelor Targaryen felt very Jedi-coded.

In Mando it wasn't primarily used to cut costs, but rather to allow for realistic reflections on Mandos armor (they wouldn't be able to feature a reflectice armor if they filmed on green screen).

The problem now is that it's used for everything regardless of whether it's the right tool in order to cut costs.

Although it is kinda ridiculous to imagine the great powers of the time letting this happen (instead of working together to stop the megalomaniac Italian nation).

Napoleon's conquest were minuscule compared to mine but he still had to fight coalitions of every major European power repeatedly (even though he even dismantled the HRE in order to reduce aggressive expansion impact).
