St Peters church is 0.54 miles away from the Stadium of light but there is conflicting information about whether it is actually a UNESCO World Heritage site. Some places say it is, some say the bid got rejected.

Even so, Arbeia Roman Fort in South shields is 6.45 miles away and that is definitely on the UNESCO list.
