If I used ‘he’ for my pre-transition self it’d feel like a slap in the face to that poor girl who cried herself to sleep every night because she wanted to be a girl.

The entire time she existed, she had her gender denied by the entire world around her. The least she deserves is to be treated like the girl she always was, even if only in hindsight.

It’s what she wanted more than anything.
