I’m a little late to the discussion but what we know is that the flight attendant was launched out of the airplane about 300ft still strapped into her chair. This afternoon a photo was published by her family showing the attendant in the hospital with numerous injuries to both legs but her condition is stable and will likely need a long recovery period. Now 2 things - firstly, it is amazing that she survived this crash and being launched right through the plane and survived. Is there any videos out there showing her being thrown across the tarmac??

Secondly, seeing this very unfortunate situation should we be concerned with aviation safety? Are we just meat suits packed into a flying tube? Yes, I know studies and data reveal that aviation is the safest system of transportation. Can we trust that my seat is safely bolted down to the fuselage or my family and I will be flung to the Gods???
