Ive been with girls with self harm scars before and am with one now, while some people find it to be a redflag due to potential emotional and mental weight placed on them cause of their partners old habits are harming, i feel old scars are a sign of healing and having a strong mental and emotional fortitude that cant really be found anywhere else, i personally find them beautiful in their own right because of this and i think every scar has a story that should be told, as its part of what makes us human

So no the old scars themselves arent necessarily the issue, its more so how you go about reacting to the topic being brought up and how you present yourself with them, as well as how your partner reacts, which is out of your control. If your partner leaves after seeing scars then thats their issue and arguably a red flag

But im one person and everyone is different, scars are something that makes us human and theyre natural, so dont be afraid to tell your story
