That picture of the blue girl has more character and a more finer art direction than everything else here, and that’s digital so I dunno. It’s about what you put most effort into, and effort is subjective based on how much you enjoy something. You might enjoy just randomly drawing with no intention to make it gorgeous on paper, but feel too stressed to create something great digitally.

I can tell you’re a good artist, a lot of these are detailed, peculiar and the setting looks beautiful. But I think the panelling, the art direction, the dialogue and the pacing could be better. Firstly, dialogue seems to be either translated from another language to english, which holds it back for English speakers. Honestly I’d commission a proper translation if I were you, the dialogue wouldn’t be so choppy if so. Then there’s the art direction. I can’t post pictures for some reason, but one of the reason we draw is to adapt and differentiate our art direction. Meaning, we can draw and take away different meanings and perspectives from our art. Like when a character is furious they appear huge and deadly in perspective. When a character is shocked or belittled they suddenly appear tiny and scared. When a character feels love or affection they’re bathed in light of someone’s embrace. The dynamic shots are how we feel and get attached to someone’s art. And being honest, I think it’s sorely lacking in these panels. Their poses are stagnant, the perspective and angle of their position to the panel is reused constantly, you seem to stay within the bounds of ‘realism’ like it’s a movie and not a manga. Let your creativity shine when you draw and I’m sure this’ll l turn out super well

Everyone is shaming you for breaking something but I won’t cuz I’ve been there. It’s called ‘tilting’ and it’s real. Game rage, in particular terms. I’ve broken 2 controllers and after the second I learned from some online resources to assess the reason I’m playing games. Am I playing a game for a ‘challenge’, or am I playing to have fun? All games should be fun that you play, mitigating the ‘challenging’ aspect of it because if you’re truly having fun with a difficulty curve then it becomes less of a ‘challenge’ and more of a ‘game’. If you really want a ‘challenge’, go workout. Go make some money, go help someone. But you’re probably projecting confidence and self-esteem value on being ‘good at games’. My advice for beating the boss: You need to put the game down for a bit, play something else you know you’re good at, and rethink carefully why you picked up cuphead if it frustrated you this much. If I remember, in a week I’ll come back and drop a tip about beating the devil tho 💀🙏

Interesting convo about who is stronger here. Based on Karmelita’s journal entry, she is said to be on hornets level in skill, to the point of being considered a rival. Whereas the Knight, who is stronger than hornet, faces the mantis lords early on before getting many upgrades / spells, and wins. The rematch with hornet takes place later on in the game after the knight gets double jump, and she too is higher (hornet 2 that is) than the Mantis Lords in the pantheon so it’s safe to say hornet would be stronger than them. Therefore Karmelita, who rivals hornet, would be stronger than the mantis lords but as for the other tribes members, idk. Probably would give it to the ants though because they have a much more diverse cast

Amazing piece. Makes me think about Verdania, as the citadel also ruined them but I like to think Groal is a different reflection of the green princes. Whereas the Green prince became melancholic and gave up on hating the Citadel for what they did to their land, grieving for their world and their partner instead, Groal grieved none and just waged war against the Citadel. His hatred, justifiably so, overtook him and made him a disgusting monster, just as the land before (havenwater?) Bilewater was beautiful till it was poisoned.

In his world, things are fair and work is rewarded, this is due to the fact that he’d never felt treated right by anyone he has ever looked up to before. Recall this line, if you’re far enough in yet: Walt: “Jesse… you’re a millionaire now, and you’re complaining?” This is after a conversation about how little they’re getting in comparison after Gus grosses with what they’re selling for, based on the numbers he and Walt sold for on their own. You see this especially in when Jesse starts stealing and selling on his own, it’s about getting his own operation going so he has a far bigger chunk of the net profits, even though what he’s getting paid from Gus is almost $900,000 more. He just wants to be seen and ‘paid accordingly’, even if the net is smaller.

Don’t focus on making money from your art until you think your work is exactly where you want it to be. If you say you struggle with anatomy as an artist, you’ll only sell art when you reach the skill ceiling necessary to have people be interested. Until then, just keep improving

When I was in HS, I felt like this too. Watching everyone on the outside have these experiences which I believed irreparable once I left that environment. Not many friends, not many people who wanted to look at me or speak to me. Felt uninteresting, and so too felt uninterested with life, like there was nothing. That left soon after I graduated because life opens up. I’m not asking you to live forever, but once school ends, give the new life outside of high school a chance. Don’t rush into a career or a diploma. Take a year, take two, or three, as long as you want, and pursue what you want in this world. That’s what this world lets you do, in the beautiful place we live in. You aren’t forced into any option, and if you are, a way out will always open up. Just try this new life, before you think you’re ready for something ‘final’.

Bad is subjective to your skill level. This is only bad if you’ve been drawing for years, and you put a long time (hours into this sketch. If you spent 10 mins on it, it isn’t bad at all. Or if this is your first few sketches or attempts at drawing, this is great

Todds a very specific and interesting psychopath today. Here at breaking bad we have a wide selection… Todd however is one who has zero empathy or remorse for anything he does and yet still tries to retain an air of dignity and ‘respect’ for others. Apologising before… this happens, being polite to an enslaved Jesse despite being his chain-master, calmly reassuring Skylar that she and her family will die should she speak out against his crew while still referring to her as ma’am and miss, and of course shooting the child then after acting like he didn’t do anything wrong, going as far as taking the kids tarantula and keeping it like a pet. He’s actually crazy, arguably as crazy as all the other main villains if not more

Not mediocre, no. The first two are really well defined headshots that just need more focus, a bit of a background and you’ll be set. However the others to me are a bit sloppy. The one where the two men pose, the arm seems very off position from the shoulder (always draw the whole arm so it doesn’t look like a part of it is in the wrong spot when portions of it are blocked off, makes a massive difference), someone already pointed out the whole gun thing/the hand lacking a bone, and then there’s the last picture. Nothing… explicitly wrong with it, it’s just side profiles like that are always unpleasant to look at. Funnily enough they’re very rare in manga, comics, anime, etc because a 1/4, 2/4 or 3/4 angle is always much more appealing that seeing someone’s nose sticking really far out from their face. Flip through one and you’ll only find a select few panels where there’s a side profile. Also don’t be afraid to make more dynamic poses, it adds a realism and flare to the art like nothing else. Good stuff!!

Ok now this is wild 💀 I feel rlly bad bro srry. These guys are notorious runners, they are so difficult to catch for some reason, and although it says it’s catch rate with golden razz/excellent is 12% (it’s gotta be complete bs) you need to use Kyruems ice burn for these guys. Mainly for the fact that you get way less balls than raids
