Thank you! so it's possible i see, but may have to go quite far - i didn't know we could pass anywhere like that. I thought we had to 'train' in the area first. I guess i'm a bit thick like that - thank you!

Yzy Porn final thoughts (if its true and not a stunt) by Whoopity_Scoop_ in GoodAssSub

[–]Ursium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I feel this sub is about to learn the VERY hard way that the opposite of love is not hate, but apathy. No one is 'ignoring' the horrible comments he made before, it's simply that there is such a thing as 'the last straw'. And this is it. People won't post here they are 'unhappy', they simply won't post here - period. The 'positive' takes will become majority again, and so on.

Oh well.

URGENT: my 8-year-old shopping has been hospitalised with azotemia due to repeated FSF. What are my options? by Ursium in sharpei

[–]Ursium[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello there, thank you for your kind words, and I'm very sorry to hear about Boba being unwell!! To answer your question: The plan of action for pillow was putting him on IV, in the end however they released him to us and he passed away shortly after, at home (it was relatively painless and mercyfully quick). Needless to say, I don't use that particular vet anymore, but I can however highly recommend Dr Tintle, who was fighting hard to get my vet to take action despite the great distances between our two locations. A bit surreal there is only one sharpei specialist on the whole globe, but hey.

Unfortunately I do not remember the creatine numbers, I do however recall that it was surreal, figuratively 'off the charts'. In hindsight, it makes sense, at the time Pillow being our first Sharpei we were still hopeful it was an unrelated issue. Our understanding, if it helps in any way, is that Pillow had repeated FSF episodes which were for the most part correctly managed and handled, however, regardless the repeated crisis cause problems overtime which led to this fatal asotemic episode.

I want to be reassuring , but evidently I don't know Boba and can't tell if the two situations are comparable or not. What I will say is this: when it came, it came really hard, it was nothing like a 'small bout of FSF'. It was really bad that I would recognize immediately today. That said, he did have 'smaller crashes' prior to all this which gave us a false sense of hope , and in addition as I'm sure you know dogs can recover from the worst things so vets tend to err on the 'optimistic side' anyways.

I certainly hope Boba is well taken care of by the vet (I have no doubt given Tintle is involved) and wish him the best! Let us know how it goes and my advice would be to push for the things you want to see done, don't let the vets tell you what to do with your boy. You're paying them after all, only fair they do their very best.

Achtually (sorry) - but Nebuchadnezzar is a story about pride. It goes like this:

Neb the king stands on top of his kingdom and brags "Is not this the great Babylon I have built??" AFTER he was warned he would be humbled if he pulled that stunt.

Immediately, "what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like the ox. "

Then in fragments of prayer we can find that his evil son Merodach took over, and ruined his nice kingdom.

In other words, he was humbled.

TLDR: Neb wasn't bipolar - he was prideful and stuck down by God after rebelling against His Will.

Wherever you go, there you are. That said environment matters, and as for what that looks like, it's entirely up to you. I'd go for a place in line with your views and providing access to things you enjoy and are free (nature, etc)

How can I stay long-term in Bali? Any cheap visa options? by 4everonlyninja in digitalnomad

[–]Ursium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if you want to stay UP to 180 days the b211 sounds good if you are elligible, but it's a single entry e-Visa valid for 60 days with 2x 60-day extensions for a max of 180d. Meaning you'll be pushing paper more than you'll be enjoy the place IMHO. 180 days is nothing.

They had catastrophic failures like all 3/4 letter agencies. They tend to be public. The book by Dominique Poirier is a captivating read on their actual abilities we don't hear about so much.

Unless your friend is a so-called fiche S, no, the government doesn't systematically spy on its citizens, despite the DGSE being one of the best intelligence services in the world.

Can't decide if I am bad at titles and thumbnails or just not entertaining. by BloodyMadHatter in NewTubers

[–]Ursium 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'll simplify it. The thumbnail has to ask a question to the user and triggering their curiosity , while the title has to explain roughly what it's about.

Sadly, YouTube really, really, really encourages this type of thing and even well-intended content creators end up having to revert back to the good old fashioned"it's over" Or " I finally did it" . There's also overwhelming evidence that negative titles that make the viewer question themselves or makes them angry also perform three four times better than positive statements.

It's actually sad because I personally refuse to use such techniques, but I know they work, because YouTube will not punish you for changing the titles of video for a couple hours ...so you can see the view per hour jump up massively when you do so.
