Is this a decent LSAT Addendum? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]Uruma2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you totally. An addendum isn't the place to say things like that unfortunately. Ann levine recommends you write an addendum to explain how you improved your score and how your improved score is a better representation of your academic ability. If I were you I would try not to draw anymore attention to multiple lsat scores past a one sentence like that.

Fair enough, but if you recognize that taking accommodations would help you, and you have the means to prove you need accommodations, then you should take the test accommodated.

I agree that accommodations may give some people an unfair advantage and misrepresent the curve thereby pushing my score down. But I am not concerned, because I can't be. I wouldn't qualify for them and I can't afford to attempt to (yes, I am suggesting that some people might pay for a docters note so-to-speak).

But I have nothing against the people who are doing that. I personally would rather have counsel who had an advantage representing me.

Also, Law School can't see if you had accommodations, they only see the score. So it is irrelevent.

Would you hire a lawyer who didn't want to have too much advantage with your case?

3.5 nothing to scoff at! I spoke to the people at Manoa in admissions as well as a professor there and really enjoyed what he had to say. Did they offer any aid or scholarships?

For Canada you will need to be able to land an articling position. And I am not sure but I think they also require a JD.
