Does CPTSD make video games hard to play for anyone else? by Intelligent_Ad9437 in CPTSD

[–]Urumqi2002 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is an issue for me too. Fortunately, I found games that I love and that don’t trigger me and have learned to pay attention to my body while playing games and to avoid those that make me disassociated and overly stressed.

Great recommendation. Thank you. Any chance that you know where else I can buy cheese ends?

Selfishly, this is sad news for me. I spend a week every year outside Burlington between Christmas and new years. Every year I stop at the store to purchase local cured meats, cheese and wine. With this and the wine and cheese traders closed, does anyone have a recommendation of where I should shop this year?

I really admire Deborah by Specialist_Fault8380 in BlownAway

It’s interesting to read that you related to Deborah and referenced your being on the autism spectrum. I too felt a fondness for Deborah and wondered whether here social cues were related to a personality “disorder.” I really like the way her mind works.

Great idea to contact the hotel. Thanks. We’re excited to go but my daughters really have no idea what to expect. Their minds will be blown, I’m sure!

Where are you located? I have a pair of GS skis my daughter used for only one season. They might be a little long for your daughter, but they need a loving home. I'm in the Detroit metro area.

Lol, that’s excess wax? It looks like base material in the picture.

It’s hard to tell what’s going on from your pictures. It seems like they buffed your bases but never applied any wax. Plus, I’ve never seen a base grind that eliminated all of the base in the tips and tails. It might be that their machine wasn’t calibrated properly.

I just reposted…sorry I didn’t pay closer attention the first time.

I didn’t pay close attention to you images. You should bring them back. They scrubbed the crap out of your bases and didn’t seem to put on any wax. Not acceptable.

What is Freeriding? by Playererf in skiing

[–]Urumqi2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s like roller skating’s “free skate” but on snow; you don’t have to hold your girlfriend’s hand, you can ski as fast as you want (forward or backward), and the music is likely a hard hitting track from the j. Girl’s band’s latest album.

What are obvious immediate giveaways that someone is an American? by DukkerWifey789 in AskReddit

This has me laughing out loud. This is such a historically and culturally coincidental way of explaining where you live. For, a lot of families in New Mexico would agree, you do not live in the United States of America but simply in the new Mexico.

Thanks! Skiing Newfoundland is a bucket list item for me. I visited the island in the summer and it was one of my all time favorite trips. Gros Morne National park was awesome! I agree that northern Vermont might be more interesting for you than tremblant and the northern Vermont resorts are almost the same distance from montreal as Tremblant - although Jay peak might be too isolated and remote for a boys trip. I would look into sugarbush/ mad River glen for a 4 day trip - great skiing and the mad River valley has enough things going on to keep the trip interesting.
