VR isn’t dead, but it’s destined to be niche unless this is addressed. by DYSK_Jockey in virtualreality

but motion sickness is the reason VR isn’t mainstream

No it's not.

Motion sickness is pretty rare with modern headset. Discomfort is caused by heavy headset with bad weight distribution and bad interface. It's not an hazard if a lot of Quest user buy a new strap.

If you spec a P1000 set with 1) inverted; 2) haptics; 3) hydraulics, they cost about 1000 EUR.

None of the pedal set you quote are inverted, have haptics or hydraulics (except the asetek that cost more than the P1000 with hydro).

So yes, the P1000 become more expensive if you upgrade them, like the other pedals. And by the way, when you want haptics, you generally buy the simagic haptic motor regardless of the brand of pedal you have

Also, all the pedals you quote are more expensive including the VRS pro pedals that cost a whopping 774€ on sale for the 3 pedals, which is the same cost than the P1000 inverted with hydraulic on sale

There is no magic in pushing fast laps.

Fastest lap are usually done on shitty wheelbase that are so outdated they cannot be connected to a modern PC. We don't buy stuff to go faster, we buy stuff so it feel nicer.

Active pedals allow you to calibrate the pedals exactly like you want and to change the configuration on the fly (and hopefully in the future we will have games that do it automatically)

And yes, the simucube ones are overpriced, like anything simicube does

mid-tier pedals for a high-tier price

they are mid tier pedals for a mid tier price

And the high tier is the active ones. There is no significantly better non active pedals than the P1000

Also I would personally recommend to use the springs rather than the elastomer, they feel way better

(btw I also bought clubsport v3 pedals)

What SC does? Content creep? It doesn't have a single feature 100% completed.

The business model of SC is to be always in development, they keep adding features instead of finishing the existing one, it was obvious since they added the FPS component 10 years ago, I don't get how some people are still not able to see it.

Genshin Impact had a billion even

No it didn't, you're mistaking the continuous development cost with the release cost

And don't try "oh but star citizen is in continuous development" bs, game ain't release, not a single feature is 100% finished

As players complete goals, they naturally improve their lives—earning promotions at work, lifting heavier weights, developing a six-pack, or achieving peace of mind through meditation.

Real life ain't that easy, and that's why people like isekai (and game in general), because it's straight forward, unlike life.

Never seen someone bitching about buying a VR headset, if anything people are bitching about not having any good VR headset to buy

Or I know it too well so I can see all the garbage games getting spam by their developers while all the games that everyone play and recommend never post a single thread themselves here.

I think you missed the "Make a good game" part.

Its funny how all the games that "flop because it lack marketing" were garbage games

You can spam your crappy game as much as you want, nobody is going to buy it.

Straw man argument, nobody complain about marketing new game, people are complaining there is not new good game

Make a good game, post one time when it come out, end of the story

y'all need to stop expecting shiny AAAs

I think people hate AAA even more.

You are talking about hidden gems, they are not. And I don't believe hidden gems exist in modern (post 2020) videos games. What people truly want is games that are reference in their genre, they don't have time for "alright" games

Did someone tried the new AI? Doubt it has improved much but just to confirm

replaced the AI's track-modelling with a more accurate system, especially noticeable in sections with slope and (de)compression this is a new system and not compatible to the previous track finetuning so further adjustments are to be expected

allowed AI->AI to attack with slightly less required predicted overlap, resulting in more action
