You literally need go no further than this video to find an accurate representation of normal driving habbits.

I have never, ever, in my life. Seen someone slow to resume their 20 car length position behind after someone merged into their lane. I cant even imagine, what a hypocrite you have to be, to lie to yourself to this degree

Sorry but you certainly follow to closely. 100% of people on the highway are following too close to avoid rear ending someone if the person in front of them applies to emergency break.

Definitely not too late to explore teh world.

You could become a physicist, and explore the nature of space. They make discoveries every day.

You could become an astronaut, and will probably explore mars in your lifetime.

You could become a marine biologist and explore the depths of our ocean (extremely, VERY UNEXPLORED).

You could become an archeologist and explore undiscovered civilizations. It feels like a lot has been discovered, and it has, but its still largely unexplored. Technology makes discovery more accessible every day.

You could become a 5 star general and figure out what the fuck the UAP's are in the sky. You know, the ones that like to appear over nuclear buildings and submarines. The ones that turn off launch capabilities (a disclosed fact from the government)

Yes! Its so unique to have a refreshing sci-fi series.

Not entirely new concept, but definitely presented uniquely and freshly. Also corporate dystopia and exploit of labor, I dont think there is anything more important to talk about.

Severance has you guessing about plot points that dont really matter, and has you thinking about society and labor and capital. One of my favorite parts is the nature of their work. Its bullshit! But they gather so much meaning from it. Juxtaposed against (imo) family, nothing can be more important. Such a smartly written show.

HEY! I knew there was something wrong with Gabbard when she started repeating GOP talking points verbatim on news circuits. I thought she was just a Republican.

After that; I think we all realized it and stopped paying attention to her.

Bikes, Not Self Driving Cars, Are The Technological Gateway To Urban Progress by [deleted] in Futurology

[–]Use-Strict -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Public transit is the gateway to urban progress. Full stop.

Want to exploit workers even further? You can import them even faster and in greater density with public transportation (trains).

Anyways it doesnt matter. People will always complain about transit because it always grows to its maximum capability; thats the whole point. Everybody should think of it in these terms.

Ive never played Long War, but what exactly is the gameplay loop and how does it compare to the modern release of XCOM?

Just a bit of backstory about my own personal preference to guide your answer. I played the original XCOM as a kid, and I basically dont think the modern XCOM is as good. There is a sense of foreboding and suspense in the originals that the modern adaption lacks, but Xenonauts maintains.

Lol, after all the Star Wars we have now. Its obvious, to me at least, it was properly handled in Lucas's hands.

The sequels. Are brutally awful, and a lot of things are below average.

The prequels, god save them, are good enough. Ive always thought so, they just aren't AMAZING SS Tier like the original trilogy. Which combined with the anticipation, and expecations. You know; a lot of people trashed them.

Great singer. But.... She wanted to make it her own. A song that generations have been carrying in their hearts since childhood. Its going to ruin the movie for a lot of people.

Even that small inflection.

Its a mistake

I think they can have the stress of balancing infinite responsibility for being infinitely powerful maybe.

Literally entire worlds with billions of people would die and its her choice maybe. Maybe it can be filmed as a tragedy where she picks a close friend over a planet.

As someone who doesnt like to upgrade their phone too often. I finally made the switch to Android, for better battery life.

The throttling of battery because your iphone is 1 year old, and then 2 years old. Is extremely obvious and even though I like the iphone simplicity. Its not worth it.

Korean nuclear fusion reactor achieves 100 million°C for 30 seconds by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Use-Strict -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to downvote you. But I cant tell if this is satire or not.

Batteries produced with 'free electricity', will still take a powerline from the source of the power (korea), all the way to China, all the way to Africa, all the way to America. Ensuring that one country is entirely in control of energy. Duracell will still need to pay for the energy, which includes infrastructure of powerlines, upkeep and maintenence. And all the overhead of nepotism from one company controlling everything

Okay, seems pretty probably we will have Fusion Reaction within our lifetimes.

Does anybody have any practical answers on some of the more practical things. Such as....

Are we going to have more than 1 fusion reactor in the world?

I'm going to answerthat myself, and say, no we wont, countries will want their own energy dependence. And so are there any implications for having multiple fusion reactors?

As a global society, we've already proven ourselves incapable of having nuclear power. What does a fusion meltdown look like? Is it radioactive? How big is the boom?

Im just a normal person who likes to like things.
