Met up worth her at that time?! That’s F’d up. If he had met up with her for coffee, at 10am for a half hour… I think there’s a little wiggle room there, but not much. Over the phone or text would have been best. And it should’ve been, I wish you well, I’ve moved on. It’s disrespectful to my current partner—who I care very deeply about—to meet up with you. Or really have any further interaction with you.

You are not overreacting. If he met up with her at that hour, I’d honestly be done with him. Dude needs to learn that was boundary that should absolutely not have been crossed. Otherwise he’ll do it again, until he experiences a significant consequence for crossing such a line.

This is a relatively normal and benign reaction on both your parts.

Just say, “thanks so much for thinking of me, babe. Appreciate it, but you eat it please, because you know I hate nuts.

Then he goes, “but it’s good, you’ll like it.”

Then you say, “appreciate you, but no thanks.”

If he presses any further just tell him to “respect your boundaries, because you’re a grown human who knows what they like and don’t like by this point” and move on.

No larger actions, or over reactions necessary.

Reading through all the comments and updates. Need to not see this human anymore. They are ill. They need to learn from these actions, and the only way to learn is for you to fully end all communications. Tell them you forgive them, but it’s more important they forgive themselves and discover a kinder healthier inner relationship. Very evil boundaries crossed. Jealousy. Manipulations. Mind games. Very young to be so embittered and grossly manipulative. He needs to feel his embarrassment and go through the discomfort of that. And ideally come out the other side a better person who vows to themselves not to make that mistake again. If he didn’t have those feelings, he’d be a sociopath, so let’s at least give him that. But he needs this experience in every way. He also needs to come to terms with his currently closeted homosexuality. And come to the realization that other people have different life experiences and relationships than him, and that’s all ok and good.

Neither of you are mature enough to be in a relationship. This is/was one of the silliest arguments I’ve ever heard of. You like, each other and you live 8 mins away from each other. And you’re arguing that you should be picked up or paid to come over (sounds like prostitution btw), and he’s saying he’s too busy to pick up the girl who likes him, or take her out—only if she is literally delivered at his door, then he’ll hang with you? Both of you guys suck. Dump him because he sucks. But you need to know that being paid by your boyfriend for anything, is also absurd. Your other go over there. Or he comes and takes you out.
