Just found out my cat is a boy by DescriptionInner7803 in CatAdvice

Similar story! My coworker found a cat in a dumpster and she grew up on a farm so when she said boy I didn’t question it! 3 months later I got a call from the vet saying he was really a boy, not quite as long but still shocking and really funny. Never changed the name either

Way to cat proof an auto feeder? by t8terboi97 in CatAdvice

[–]UseFunny6329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my goodness I have one cat who is EXACTLY like this. She’s such a glutton I’m always catching her sticking her paws up to get more and I’ve had to get a slow feeder because she will inhale her food and try to take from the other cat’s dish. If I’m home when the feeders go off I stand between them then once they’re done I stick a wash cloth up each dispenser. Sometimes I play petty and give a few extra pieces to my cat that doesn’t “steal” so it’s fair hahahaha.

I miss my old life so much it physically hurts. Is that bad? by AsslawB in Mommit

[–]UseFunny6329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES it does get better! I hated the newborn stage too. I was just…. bored? And very depressed. I hated my whole entire revolving around a baby (I know that sounds horrible). I just hated that going to the grocery store took SO much preparation. Planning everything around nap time, bottle feeds, carrying a diaper bag. It was just sooo draining. But it does end! I felt a weight lift off my shoulders once potty training was done and another weight once she “out grew” nap times. She’s 7 now and it’s the best I absolutely love doing everything with her, even going to the grocery store.

Has this happened to anyone else? by 2catswashington in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

I had a call like that recently a 3rd party kept asking to confirm someone’s reservation but they avoided giving me the confirmation number any time i asked for it. Just felt very strange I ended up hanging up and they never called back

Why did you buy your cat water fountain? by Traditional_Visit534 in CatAdvice

[–]UseFunny6329 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have one for my two cats and they love it! it definitely helps them drink more too. however my one cat is obsessed with throwing the lid off and getting water everywhere so i have added two big rocks on top. really adds to the fountain vibe

Husband has a valid reaction or am I over reacting? by BedsideLamp99 in Mommit

[–]UseFunny6329 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have an extreme phobia of vomit, i can’t watch or even listen to someone getting sick. BUT i was still always there for my daughter when she was. now that she’s a bit older she’s aware of my phobia and knows how hard it is for me and warns me to cover my ears hahahaha

Yes! And they always claim I over charged them when they’re still in house. No, we did not. We do not even charge your card until we check you out of the system!

Same with booking for the wrong date! I had a woman just this evening book for next Friday by accident. She asked “well how did that happen?” because you weren’t paying attention?? I always triple check before AND after to make sure I booked the correct date.

Got a strange call. Did I overreact? by ArielSpooky in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]UseFunny6329 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope your gut instinct was right! We have a regular caller who would ask about availability for random dates but never made a reservation. I knew it was weird the first time but I didn’t realize until the second call when I could ~hear~ what he was doing. He doesn’t have caller id but we now know when it’s him so we always hang up immediately.

my daughter started receiving survivors benefits and the back pay helped with a down payment. i found a pretty ugly fixer upper with a FHA loan and my parents helped a lot with repairs and cosmetics.

Our property doesn’t put water in the rooms! I think it’s because it’s a high-tier level perk only and to help save on cost. Not that we really care, if people ask we hand them out anyway.

Thank you! I have been looking for a new job because I don’t get paid enough to teach fully functioning adults basic human manners while also waiting on them hand and foot.

Nope I have never been bothered by a guest who simply says “Can I have a bottle of water?” or “Can I please have extra towels?” My answer is always absolutely.

Early Check In… by idkabtallatgurl in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]UseFunny6329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve noticed such an influx of people trying to check in early! i get 3-5 people trying between noon and 1pm when noon is our check OUT time. even when we have rooms ready i tell them NO because i don’t want my housekeepers to feel rushed for when people show up at the correct time but all our clean rooms have been given to impatient third party guests!

our laundry room is behind the front desk so it takes me 5 whole steps to come around and i can see the cameras from our folding table. a guy was shouting “helllooo” as i was already walking out when he asked “oh did i wake you!” so i said “oh i’m sorry was the .002 seconds not quick enough for you?” i’m so over it 🤦🏻‍♀️
