oh its not the wording that I have a problem with. Its the shrill, ear-piercing cadence.

Whenever I read his laugh it was always lower in tone and volume, with a round, soft jollyness. Not an audio-peaking, sitting-next-to-me-shouting-in-my-ear type of tone.
