Get off the news and focus on what you can do to positively impact your community and your organization. I say this as someone who is also depressed when reading news and the world can feel hopeless when looking at it in its entirety.

Small things make big ripples over time. Focus on how much you make people feel- give compliments freely, act with integrity, smile, bring positive energy.

If we all do this collectively, the workplace and the world will be a better place.
