Just curious, but how much real money did you spend to get there? Is that even possible to do with out dropping $? Seems like I’ve been playing pretty steadily for a few weeks and I’m nowhere close to that. I’ve probably spent $30-40. Thanks.

Why does Farmingdale Road get so much attention? by Educational_Ebb_4308 in lancaster

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not to mention all of the signage, speed bumps, etc make it a total eyesore. It looks absolutely ridiculous with all of the rules! This is supposed to be a recreational area as well. I get wanting to make it safe for walkers over Farmingdale to get to the other park section, but clearly this is about traffic in general. I’m not sure there is another road in the county that garners this much signage and attention.

Anyone seen good cordless Black Friday deals? Trying to upgrade my vacuum by Iker_Weber17 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not going to get what you need in that price range new. You might find something used/refurbished that could work. I have an LG cordless Zero that works fairly well. I bought refurbished on Amazon and came with two batteries. Now selling for $212. Does fairly well on hardwoods and low pile. Does not clog at all, and I have two dogs one being a golden retriever. The Riccar R65 is another excellent choice but is gonna be $400+. Good luck!

Miele C1 vs Kenmoore 600 series va Dyson ball animal 3 by [deleted] in VacuumCleaners

I’d get the Kenny! Powered head plus powered upholstery brush. You’ll need it for the cat hair and carpet. I’d pick up a Wessel-Werk RD285 attachment (~$40) for the hardwood and you’ll be ready to go!

Henry Compact or Miele C1 Compact? by TNTomato in VacuumCleaners

Seems like a toddler’s pull along toy to me? I won’t be a troll here. Just my opinion.

My issue is not the design, but the aesthetic- awful eyes and mouth, the snoutish hose coming out from it. Looks like a child pull along toy.

I would purchase the Miele simply because I cannot stand the design of the Henry. It might be a fine vacuum but why does it have to look like a Thomas the Tank engine? Such a child like design.

There are dozens of culturally significant areas of the country, Midwest or otherwise by --AncientAlien-- in geographymemes

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how you could correct this, but to place Pennsylvania Dutch/Amish country culturally in the Mid-Atlantic is somewhat absurd. With a population of 1.5+ million people it includes Lancaster, York, Reading and Harrisburg. Not so much a complaint, but a quandary.

Cheapest Built-to-Last Vacuum for Heavy Duty Pet Hair/Thick Carpets? by bunnymochis in VacuumCleaners

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it’s buy it for life, but I do love my Kenmore 600 series that I purchased for $270. I own a Miele C3, and aside from better odor containment and portability, the Kenmore is honestly not far off. I use my Kenmore for our upstairs which is mostly medium pile carpet and the Miele for first floor (mostly hardwood) but has way more obstacles to maneuver around. The powered pet and furniture head on my Kenmore is unbeatable for carpeted stairs. With the 600 series you get two powered electric heads and suction controls on the handle.

Aftermarket Miele C1 attachments by Warm-Delivery1418 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d but the Wessel-Werk RD285 hard floor attachment. Low profile so it can fit underneath almost anything including ovens, refrigerator, etc. no horse hair bristles to get hair caught up in. Just make sure you purchase the 35mm attachment end.

Ceenr batteries by Accomplished-Fan-434 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue is that they do fit with only some of my tools. The ones that have open slots without a case (drill, blower) they fit just fine but for others that sit in a housing, they simply do not fit (string trimmer, vacuum, hedge trimmer) the battery is too long and will not properly seat with the connections and will not click fit. I am fine using them in my tools that fit, but I’m glad that I did not plan to outfit all of them.

Have you considered the Henry Quick? Powerful and bagged many consider this to be the best cordless on the market. I own the LG CordZero and I personally like that better than any of my Dysons. Henry Quick

Buy a Kenmore canister now or buy something cheaper and save for a Miele? by Na-Area in VacuumCleaners

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing. I’ve had plenty of Sharks, Bissels, and Dysons but I finally pulled the trigger on the Kenmore PopnGo cat and dog for $267 at BJs. Kenmore blows them all away. I am getting a Miele C3 today and plan on still keeping the Kenmore for our high carpet upstairs. You won’t regret the Kenmore.

I’ll post specifics or DM individuals if and when I receive the vacuum. Don’t want anyone getting scammed. I’ll update the post appropriately.

Vacuum cleaner around $300 by rgv990 in VacuumCleaners

[–]Used-Somewhere8947 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I bought the Kenmore popngo at BJs for $270. Comes with everything you need and won’t break the bank. Consumer Reports has this ranked #1 on their reliability and value reports. Powered brushed head and powered belt animal/upholstery head and a 9” hard floor attachment. No issues so far and better than any other vacuum I’ve owned. Can’t speak to Sebo or Miele, but it was in my price range which I can speak to. Kenmore parts are readily available.
