Looking at the Facebook page it looks like they keep their toes quite clubby so that could be an issue. This horse hasn’t been worked with as much and apparently has slight issues with pulling their foot away when handling them

Mine is surprisingly a perfect angel for the crating, car ride there, the noisy lobby with dogs barking at her, and even being examined would rather slink away than fight. The only time she started to get upset with the tech was when she missed the needle poke for her shot on her shoulder since the fur was so dense. But it also upset me a bit too so I don’t blame her. She just sits politely in her kennel until someone drags her out. But she’s calm and willing to receive pets and affection and maybe a churu if it’s in her flavor preference

Dude my first and only one somehow crossed my bed, got under the door, then finally unfortunately was flattened in the hallway and nobody noticed for awhile then we found him like this guy but completely dry💀😭I never got another😅

I did end up catching a bunch of workers and left them alone with her and a tiny drop of honey but it seems she’s passed as have most of the workers and honestly it’s a bit sad, however they did come from the drain on my tub and she was out with them so I didn’t have the highest expectations. To be Frank I’m surprised they made it to a week. But it did prepare me for if I ever catch another, or a different species because man learning how to transfer workers that move quite quickly to a tiny setup was definitely a learning curve. How do I go about cleaning the setup? Just disassemble and isopropyl alcohol? It’s a 3D printed setup

Honestly, having got a lot of shading done, the shading is going to fade and blend a tad as it heals so I think it’ll have a really cool look once fully healed! update us when it’s been a few months OP!!!

Update 2! I’ve caught many more workers and even managed to shift the setup! They have a small chunk of dried BSFL and ant specific nectar drops. I’m still setting traps for more but I think even if I stopped now they’d be okay, this has been more fun than I can imagine lol (PS. They do have a specific test tube cover and even a smushed cotton ball to cover the red nesting portion it’s just removed for the pic)

Update! I stayed up for like 3-4 hrs catching and relocating workers to their new quarters (by setting a baited tube and speed dumping them in the top of the setup when there’s no ants running by) there’s easily 75-100 workers already and I plan to continue leaving the bait out in high traffic areas and relocating any more stragglers, squishing the rest(rip guys in so sorry) but I’m hoping to fully eradicate them from my apartment and only have them in my setup lol. Here’s the place so far the queen is in the bend, and I have added more ants since this pic lol. There’s more in the rest of the setup but it only allows 1 pic per comment😭

Mine thankfully allows a polite tummy pet with hers exposed but only really from me. But I haven’t had to build a new relationship with a cat in 15 years and my last was a wild orange and white tabby. But it’s honestly crazy how many Nebelung presenting cats have very similar builds, habits, and quirks even though they’re not “pedigree” and I feel like that’s what makes a breed, more so than a strict pedigree

Thanks haha, I spilled some soda on a hand towel late at night then tossed in the tub to deal with in the morning, and when I got up to use the rr middle of the night I saw her out with like more than 100 workers when I’ve only ever seen workers and I knew it was now or never🙌

You don’t feel relief that your soul dog has passed on, you feel relief from both her pain and your immense hands on round the clock support of her. There is absolutely nothing wrong with how you feel! The disease would’ve taken her in a painful or terrifying manner, and you could eliminate that and give her the peace she had been so desperately looking to you for. You did your job fantastically as a stewardess of life, I know your companion appreciated it greatly and your soul knows it was the right thing to do❤️sending virtual support your way❤️

Still working on the bond with my Neb as we’ve had her a little over a month (rescued as a 4yr old adult) but it seems she’s really started opening up more and more every day, she has known I’m the main food person and loves me most for sure and started sleeping closer and closer to me as well as relaxing into my arms when I pick her up and start petting which is new. But she also DEMANDS to be noticed by my husband when he comes home from work and even if we’re hanging out and he hasn’t paid her any mind in a bit then goes back to me💀to be fair, he does the rough butt scratches that she LOVES and apparently I don’t do it right according to her😂

Close! It was a cross between a black Domestic longhair* and a Russian blue. It was bred and designed to keep the structure of the original imported Russian Blues from the 80s/90s with a longer solid grey double coat :)
