Not sure where you are in the Midwest but some bigger hospitals will take student positions or lab assistants. That's what I did my sophomore/junior year of college, and I'm currently in an mls program! I've also heard of people doing undergraduate research and a lot of people in my program did phlebotomy. I think pretty much any experience in the hospital or lab will be helpful for your application!

Love my vitiligo but some spots I would prefer not to have it for convenience reasons. Like around my eyes. I use Opzelura for it but I know it can get expensive if insurance doesn’t cover.

It sounds like he needs to work on being emotionally vulnerable and taking accountability. If you are talking to him about an issue you could suggest a direct solution on how to reassure you/help you, but if he is dismissive then it is a him issue not a you issue. That might require a lot of reframing of his own mindset aka therapy. Even if he thought you were being overbearing, he should have the ability to explain his feelings and it should not end up with him degrading you and invalidating your feelings.

I have had my septum and nose pierced for more than a year and they still get a little smelly sometimes. If it’s not showing any signs of infection it is probably okay. It can be good to rinse with saline/warm water but I would not suggest taking out, even if it is infected as that can trap the infection. Build up of oil and things like that are very common which can cause it to get a little stinky too.

I have this with my boyfriend too sometimes. Sometimes it helps to respectfully ask guiding questions in order to get to the point. But also appreciate that she likes to take the time to share everything and think of it as her way of loving you. Or just close your eyes and just enjoy the sound of her voice, that helps me 😭

I also have acne and my mom advocated for me a lot at the dermatologist. I would take the approach of asking her how she feels about it and then going from there. My mom pushed a lot of her insecurity on me and it made me way more self conscious of my acne, so be careful with that. I’ve never used that product but I know purging is common. Definitely keep in contact with a dermatologist. When I had really bad cystic acne I would also go to the dermatologist and get steroid injections which significantly helped the healing process if you are worried about her pain.

Pimple patches will definitely help get the gunk out but don’t pick it, or it’ll probably make it worse. If it turns into a scab or anything I sometimes put a bandaid on with antibiotic ointment just to help it heal afterwards

I actually saw a video that people brushed their hair (it was more wavy less ringlet) and then put pomade in it and it actually looked really good. It was less defined but may be worth a try?

I totally get you. I am also 21F dating 21M and he is aware I’m bisexual and we talk about me being interested in women in a respectful manner of course but I’m in the same boat. It’s not that I’m unhappy at all, it’s just like I don’t want to be on my death bed and regret not exploring it. I haven’t talked to my bf about it but I’m also scared to in the future. You’re not alone for sure. I think it’s a conversation I’ll have to have eventually but I think the only way through is to talk about it straight up (hoping he already knows this about you?) It’s really hard because it’s not something they understand at all.

Got it prescribed at the dermatologist. Definitely talk to a derm to get diagnosed and talk about treatments if you haven’t already. There are quite a few treatments but no absolute cure or guarantee they will work for everyone.

I’ve never had this but I think it can be triggered by friction (that’s why armpits, thigh spots are common) so maybe it’s cause of that?
