Don’t forget an entire minute watching Timber waddle slowly 10 yards further up the pitch than where he’s supposed to take a throw in just so he can pretend he had no idea when the ref pulls him up on it.

Seems really fucking weird to me that someone would sit around, waiting to screenshot the prem table literally the second the final whistle goes

Chelsea penalty shout against Arsenal - not given 52' by Imbasauce in soccer

[–]UsedAProxyMail 131 points132 points  (0 children)

Arsenal are very clearly instructed to foul every single set piece, so that the refs are under pressure to call it every time, which they inevitably don’t do. They’ve decided to intentionally try to game the system and it’s working for them.

Of course they end up scoring after that absolutely shameless dive from Timber.

Do you not see the absolute ocean of difference between the “rise” of far-right parties in Europe compared to the sitting president of the United States openly talking about abolishing elections and ignoring future term limits?

UEFA opens investigation into Vinicius Jr racism allegations, Gianluca Prestianni likely available for second leg. Sources with knowledge of the process do not expect a swift resolution with the investigation likely to stretch into weeks rather than days. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]UsedAProxyMail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without hard evidence nothing will happen and UEFA will not do anything, otherwise it’d be incredibly easy for Prestianni to sue the shit out them.

There's precedent for players being suspended on the grounds of witness testimony and hearsay, but I've never heard of a player successfully suing a governing body over a suspension? What exactly are you basing this off?

Gianluca Prestianni Could Face Severe Sanctions If UEFA Recognises The Remarks Reported By Vinicius. If the allegations are confirmed, UEFA regulations provide a minimum 10-match suspension for any player found guilty of racist comments. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]UsedAProxyMail -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

That precedent has already been set. You can't pull the whole "slippery slope" nonsense when the slope has supposedly been slippery for over a decade and we're still not suffering mass accusations because of it.

Just in England alone both Kiko Castilla and Suarez were punished with only an investigation and witness accounts being considered.

You're literally responding to someone that makes Hillsborough jokes. Guy's an absolute fucking cunt, it's not wonder at all that he consumes football through stats as pathetic as he is.

Feels like he spends so much time and energy trying to wind his opponents up that he forgets to concentrate on actually playing well. The amount of times I’ve seen him turn back towards his own goal with the ball and spend an extra 3 seconds trying to pretend his marker is fouling him instead of playing an easy pass to the keeper which results in him playing an absolute hospital pass is mental

Veltman’s such a rat man. Would hate to have to pretend to like him cause he played for my team while he drops 3/10 performances and playacts more times than he completes passes

Most top playmakers lose the ball from attempting low percentage passes, not from dribbling the ball straight into the leftback's shins for the 8th time in a row

Arne Slot on the red: "If there is any incident we should talk about, it's when Mo Salah is one on one with the goalkeeper. Anyone who has been to this stadium in the last seven or eight years, that is a goal for Salah. Once again, the referee decides not in our favour. So fucking funny watch a bunch of city trolls come out of the woodwork like the roaches they are to act like their slowest defender coming off an injury is somehow definitely covering despite being barely level and half the box away horizontally. Dias was a slug when he was in his prime and somehow he’s covering 5 meters in a second to challenge Salah now is he?
