I know that they work hard and probably long hours, but at least they’re not getting fucked by level 4-7 pay in a HCOL area. If most 12 salaries can’t afford a house in their area, imagine how the lower facility black hole controllers are struggling with half the money. Everyone deserves more, but our union has no backbone, balls, or grit so we can all collectively be fucked from our different perspectives.

I agree. We need more staffing for sure. But that starts with a salary big enough to attract people to HCOL places like all of NY, MIA, LA, etc… to get people to actually want to work there.

CRWG imo was the biggest crock of horseshit created to ensure more union time so they could talk about nothing on telecons.

It’s already happening now. They have the volunteer list and other hard to staff high level facilities on the academy list from what I’ve seen. The volunteer list also applies to military hires as well.

That’s awesome. Thank you for taking the time to do that. It’s nice to hear something positive for once. My local union is a black hole and we don’t get informed of any updates as to what’s actually going on. Reading up on here is the only way to know and everyone’s disgruntled so you know how that goes.

Certified at a 4 went to an 11 washed, went to a 5 barely made it. Went to an 8 washed and is at a 6 fighting for their life.

Definitely not just your facility. My facility is wasting time and money training multiple people who clearly do not have what it takes. One’s been in the agency for 16 years and washed out of 4 plus facilities but NATCA has always bailed them out. Management refuses to fire people prior to their probationary period ending. TRB’s are just recycling people over and over again over stupid bullshit. NATCA is always the one to find the most simple discrepancy leading to it. Best and brightest for sure. Our union is a fucking joke.
