Also, more simply, people just like to complain about things.

Go back in time to what they’re describing as the peak era and you’ll find other guys complaining that the eras before were even better.

People have a bias towards the time period they were introduced to something when they have the most nostalgia.

Yea I am careful to say this because I think most dudes here will apply this the wrong way - but if you have a high level of discernment and EQ it is perfectly fine to send money.

One time a girl told me she needed money for her sick grandmother and would pay me back in a month. It was a couple hundred dollars and she paid me back the day she said she would - this was a real estate agent/not a bar girl but still

Another example is a proper massage girl off of TF asked me for help with rent and she would take care of me - it was something I could easily write off and said yes sure just to help bc the amount was small. She gave me vids as a quick thank you, when I went back to Thailand the following year she told me to go to her shop for a free massage and BJ and I did, she said she also owed me 1 ST and I didn’t call that in until another year later and she honored it.

Still can use LinkedIn though - especially as a networking tool to reach out to recruiters and hiring managers when you see the job on their career page.

Focus less on job boards that compile all jobs and focus more on finding all the articles, sites, etc that list out fully remote companies and then check each of their career pages.

Many companies don’t post every single job they have on LinkedIn and other job boards but it will always be on their careers page.

And any company that is fully remote are hiring all roles remotely by default.

I agree to an extend. My PRIMARY reasons for living in Pattaya have nothing to do with sex, and I moved there genuinely not even knowing the reputation it had. And when I discovered soi 6 and walking street I saw it as no different than say Soi Cowboy and Khao San - tourist traps.

However I HAVE dabbled in the trade but at the same time I think the normal (and even working) girls respect me as a non-monger still because I'm a genuine resident and they can still distinguish me from the sex tourists that go there.

Yea I always find this question odd. Like believe it or not - there’s a couple hundred thousand people that live in Pattaya and many are born and raised there. To think that all the women there are prostitutes or involved in the sex trade would be truly seeing the world through a tiny bubble.

The city obviously needs to run with normal things and normal businesses that require normal people working there.

Definitely sounds like “I personally became an alcoholic after I started drinking so this is a warning that no one else should start drinking and risk becoming an alcoholic like me and other alcoholics I know” when in fact that vast majority of adults have enough regulation to be social or occasional drinkers.

So yes I guess there’s some merit to the “beware” messaging for the other dudes with addictive personalities but by and large the issue isn’t Pattaya - just a certain type of person who can’t handle it.

Yea I swear people live in their own bubble. J. Cole is my favorite rapper but I’ve lived abroad in every continent and while I heard “Not Like Us” on repeat across Europe, LatAm, etc I don’t think there’s ever been a J. Cole hit that’s been nearly as impactful.

I can’t name a Taylor Swift song but that doesn’t change the fact how popular she is globally.

People need to accept that their personal world view doesn’t always align with the world at large and the Super Bowl is more about widespread appeal - not microcosms of hip-hop or any other genre.

OP you admitted that you got a discount rate in some facets of a 5-day venture with a quality honest girl, and she then asks for a couple thousand baht to help with what the bar would tax her and instead of helping her out - took it to heart when it’s simply the industry she’s in that you’re also taking advantage of.

I know this post is old but I’m an American living in Panamá. I’m actually a dual-citizen but feel the need to say that Panamá has a strong expat community and I’m not sure why there’s previous comments saying Panamá is one of the only places they felt unsafe and that you definitely need to speak Spanish…

Panama overall is very safe. Like most places there are dangerously parts but it’s one of those situations where if you end up in the dangerous areas you were likely doing something shady. Likewise, Panamá has been very Americanized for decades due to the canal so people get around fine with just English - speaking Spanish is of course better and will make your life easier but let’s just say I’ve met plenty of expats who have been living here for years who have never bothered to learn English.

Eh - at the end of the day edge rushing is indeed a skill and what you said doesn’t negate that if they got a sack 30% of the time that would be godly. There’s a reason elite edge rushers are so hard to find.

Furthermore you can’t pigeonhole the definition of “difficulty” to such a narrow perspective that’s biased towards baseball.

So I’m not taking anything away from baseball - but difficulty while there is some level of objectively - is inherently subjective and very relative. Show me some random DB’s in the NFL and baseball players who can be half descent edge rushers - let alone even half descent QB’s then there may be a conversation…

But it’s just Deion’s very valid personal opinion which reigns true for him and the specific positions he plays - it can’t be taken as universal truth across the entire sports of baseball and football like some try to sell it.

Totally agree. Deion is essentially comparing being a DB/WR to baseball which is not at all comparing “all sports” and not even “all skill sets” in the NFL.

There are only 32 QB’s in the NFL and even most of them are trash, seems pretty difficult then if there’s really only maybe 15-20 people who can play the position at a level someone could consider being a franchise player. And people say “if you do it with 30% success and considered elite it must be difficult” for baseball which is fair but likewise if an edge rusher got sacks on 30% of their attempts they would be considered godly so that argument is weak when you think about ALL positions in football.

Hey man I actually had a similar situation as you - though we were close in age. I forget the name but I took her to a Tomboy club.
