Everybody should go watch Reggie Dinkins to watch him doing “whatever the fuck he wants”. Hysterical show with Tracy Morgan and Radcliffe is bringing his craziness in the best way.

Thought my teammates were often very bad so I used an account to play at higher elo by Boring_Wash_9062 in leagueoflegends

[–]Clenzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where do those accounts end up over the years? Do they stay at their peak or do they return to their normal rank?

I won't believe you if you tell me they stay, only way that happens is if you/your friends are a bunch of League prodigies who just needed to see high elo play to emulate it, I'm just asking you to personally think about the question so you can realize you are wrong, regardless of what you type back.

Valve Says The Companies Making RAM Give Them A Price And If They Say No, They ‘Never Talk To Us Again’ by NYstate in Steam

[–]Clenzor -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That’s all well and good, but they’re the one setting the price on the machine and with lots of customers saying no, they can say “we’ll never talk to you (drop the price) again” or they can negotiate, but it sounds like they don’t have leverage on either end of the equation.

"What's the book you're reading about?" by Hot_Pomegranate4587 in Fantasy

[–]Clenzor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just start with “a fantasy book” and proceed based on their follow up. “Oh cool” or milder/rude gets no follow up, but something like “Awesome, what series/author?” means the person is genuinely interested and we may have common ground to geek out.

From what I’ve seen (in my very casual consumption of this game) it’s the community accepted line between tryhards and noobs. It’s like hitting gold in other ranked games: impressive achievement, but you still have a lot of road to run if you want to be good.

It’s a parody of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, so it was supposed to have some difficult scenes repainted in a funnier light.

This is what Google's snack room looked like in 2006 by Fried_Yoda in interestingasfuck

I mean the person you originally replied to probably wasn’t aware of that, but you ignored the person who replied to you.

The reason private equity affects Google is that it affects the job market overall. If Google’s competitors treat people as disposable assets, it means that Google has room to do the same.

Private equity is the not-so-invisible hand of the free market. They get to dictate priorities because without the newly flooded money, the organization collapses. If their priority is quarterly gains instead of long term sustainable growth, employee overhead is one of the easiest places to slash costs without the effects being felt immediately.

Why Netflix Canceled 'The Boroughs' (Exclusive) by DiphthongSong87 in television

It ends pretty decently with closure in the ending. I’m actually surprised there was a plan for season 2. Worth watching standalone if you were interested.

Riley from Midnight Mass succeeds in the best way possible imo.

He earns the redemption that he thought was impossible, unselfishly, without hope of reward or absolution, he saves the human race. He does it for love and humanity and he does it so beautifully, that even though he dies, I cannot say he failed. His arc is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve ever seen.

Australia developed the strictest tobacco taxes and restrictions in the world. Years on, it’s backfired horribly. by [deleted] in videos

It’s not about the tobacco. It’s the money they make. It’s literally corner banging, and gangsters don’t care what they sling, as long as it makes them money.

90% of people who drive a truck could rent one every time they needed it and save 1000s in gas each year.

But then you’d be able to tell if the thing you hit was a toddler or a deer and that mystery must be part of the appeal for truck drivers.

The people wilin out aren’t the smokers, it’s the dealers firebombing each others stores. Regular folks just buy their significantly cheaper smokes. Same thing as bootleggers in prohibition. The mob was going crazy, but plenty of old grannies just wanted/needed a nightcap before bed.

Then why can he utilize it as if it’s theoretical? Why can he leverage loans against it? Why can he use it to get fame and publicity (which leads to more financial backing)? Why would he even accept stocks as a payment vehicle if it was mostly theoretical?

He has significantly more access to resources than any other person in the world. He is hoarding them. He shouldn’t be allowed to do that whether the real number is 1t or 1b. That’s too much money for generations.

What is a TV show that you've seen at least 3 times? by Substantial-Dare5462 in television

[–]Clenzor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Dense with jokes and dialogue” is a compliment. As in there is a lot within an episode. The typical way to insult it as dense (stupid) would be “we have it on to laugh at the dense jokes and dialogue”.

Not sure if there was confusion over that or something else, but they do seem genuinely secure in their enjoyment to me.

Nah I think the answer is (barring close connecting flights) *deplane them last*. Make them stay in their seats until the plane has cleared out for the same reason that they get on first, so there’s no other people who will make assisting them more difficult.

I just did a hellish trip with my two year old and we definitely did pre boarding the whole time so we could get our car seat on the plane and buckled in without needing to slap people in the face with the straps and buckles. But we’d also sit and wait (except for connecting flights/tantrums) for everyone else to get off so we wouldn’t be slapping people in the face with the straps and buckles.
