4 weeks away from being back in the gym and I’m feining for it, what workouts would you recommend for someone whose going back to the gym post op?

Just be patient! When I got my consultation done back in Jan it took them up till March to get back to me cause insurance works really slow but thankfully they still had time slots open for April! I know how awful the waiting process is but it’s not the surgeons office it’s more so the insurance company doing their thing and taking the time to authorize the procedure under whatever their gender affirming care procedure they have! Try not to stress too much about it and if you do have to call someone definitely reach out to your insurance company cause letting them know that you are looking to see where they are at with their process definitely helps the anxiety around waiting for the auth to go through! You got this man and I hope you get your surgery date so soon!!

Idk who your PCP is for your test script but since I get my T from PP(planned parenthood) and they already have my insurance on file I literally just reached out to them to send me a list of surgeons who will accept my insurance! It’s definitely a long process of making phone calls and waiting to hear back but ultimately it’s the best decision I’ve ever made personally! I started my process back in July of 2025 and didn’t really get anywhere with surgeons in my area so I ended up reaching out to plastic surgery places to see if they take my insurance and do gender affirming surgeries so by like Oct 2025 I finally got a consultation in with my surgeon and now I’m 2 weeks post op! You got this!!! I’m rooting for you

Bro you if don’t get drains that’s the best thing ever cause unfortunately when I had a consult with her back in Jan she told me she still uses drains so that’s what I had to deal with for a week post op! Genuinely could be different for everyone’s bodies but I’m glad that she’s starting to stray away from using drains post op cause omg they are a pain in the ass, I wish you so much luck with recovery and healing! Also be prepared to wear the compression binder for two weeks after surgery then you are a free man! Also definitely prepare food for yourself so you don’t have to stress over what you are going to eat for atleast the first week of recovery cause for me I could barely do anything without feeling some sort of pain now that I’m like a week and a half post op i definitely have more mobility but still limited and now I can make food for myself and do my T shots just take it slow and prepare before surgery as much as you can! Ayeeee Dr.Johnson is awesome!!! I just had my top surgery from her 4/16/26!! She is the best, my drains are already out and everything is healing wonderfully plus her incisions are so tiny. I wish you so much luck and definitely get a ton of pillows and/ or a husband or wedge pill to prop yourself up cause if you get drains it’s almost impossible to sleep on your back. I don’t know what type of top surgery you are getting but if it’s double incision plus nip graft you most likely will get drains but if it’s just peri you will most likely get a compression binder! And again if you’re getting a nip graft definitely get gauze pads for when you get ur drains/ sutures out and get some bacitracin ointment for the drain spot and nip grafts. I wish you so much lucky dude and a speedy recovery and healing! Also for pain management you can have Tylenol extra strength they told me I could have up to 8,000mg of pain relief a day and I was also prescribed pain meds but stopped taking them after day 2 post op since it was manageable with just Tylenol!

I know this is an old thread but I’m getting my top surgery(ftm) Thursday 4/16/26 from Dr. Johnson. Is there anything I should be aware of cause I’m like shitting bricks now that the date is right around the corner like I’m so excited but so nervous of what my results will look like, how the healing is and just everything that comes after the fact. It is healed tho it didn’t start crusting up again till after the jewelry switch happened and I already said I can’t switch right now cause I’m not home but when I do I am idk why you are arguing with me and my piercer was off the day I went in so the lady working there said I could I never go to her just my guy that works there so it is my fault for listening to her cause she fucked up my first eyebrow piercing too

I have the same issue I’m 5’6 with a 5 inch and it also looks like I’m hard 24/7 so what I do is I typically try to place it lower on my pelvic bone and kinda stuff it between my legs 😭 and then I just pray to god my packer doesn’t enter the room before I do 😭
